That's a good question, I think that say that because they like someone and they think that if they say that they like something that that person likes than that person will like them too. Does that make sense?

you need to be more specific, please . the only way this question can be answered , i think is.....some ppl just dont have the wisdom and kindness to not hurt your feelings like that, noone should ever tell anyone that kind of thing
