Americans?!!!?
Will you be accepting the National State ID coming your way in 2008? Without it you won't be able to:

- Drive a car
- Board a plane, bus, or train
- Enter a federal building
- Hold a job

The card holds basically all of your personal information that can be at the hands of anyone oh and get this: the best part is that when that plan screws up they're going to "come up with the plan" to implant a little microchip under your skin. Isn't that lovely? Now doesn't that sound like American freedom to you?

Momoftwoboys, you are wrong on both accounts, don't watch X-Files and I have lived in America all of my life and the part of the point is that the ID is the introduction to the chip, if you say you're okay with the card, you're pretty much saying you're ok with the chip. When people's card gets lost and stolen, then the idea of the chip will come

George? To become a better citizen? They put a micropchip that is a tracking device under your skin and that's becoming a better citizen? Basically you're rights being taken away is becoming a better citizen? Knowing where you are at all times? Please, give me a break, the difference between America and those other countries you mentioned is that America is doing it under the radar (if this was so harmless why wouldn't they play it like they should on the major news stations) and fooling the American people. People like you

This card is not like any other ID, otherwise billions would not have to be spent on it, for all you geniuses out there

Henry, they will know how much money is in your bank account just by a swipe, a police officer will have all of your information within seconds. And this is leading to the microchip. Do you want a microchip in your skin that is a tracking device? Mmm, maybe you do, but I don't

Henry, I am a "conspiracist", I just am; that's the way I am. If this ID was so innocent it wouldn't have went under the radar and so many grown folks wouldn't have just found out about it. It's called propaganda and brainwashing

But, it's for your -protection-! What happens if something horrible happens to you and we can recover the chunk with the chip but we can't do DNA tests or check dental records?! Heaven forbid you were to lose your wallet with everything in it, why worry about it now? Oh, no! How dare you think that we might not have your best interests in mind?! Why would we have an agenda? What? You don't -TRUST- your country? That's absurd, but of course, you do have the freedom of speech........

What? What do you mean gone missing? That's just silly, he's got a chip, we'll find him...

Hm wow when you freep you freep hard.

I personally have no problem with a national photo ID, just depends on what information of mine it has on it. Think about it, we've been talking about a VOTER ID to prevent voting fraud, well this would be the perfect way.

However your thing about driving a car, well we already have that per state (driving a car is a priviledge, not a right)

The enter a federal building already has a requirement to have a photo ID, increased security from 9/11, if you have a problem with obtaining one, your DMV can issue you one (doesn't have to be a driver's license)

The holding a job...well I'd rather someone with identification hold a job than any old asshole who could be an illegal immigrant.

The national ID just makes it easier, and I'd rather have a single standard, than massive photo ID's that could be reproduced and faked all over the place...

One of your sites is an anarchists and conspiracy theorist's website??? (shudder)

Lik you don't already need a state ID to do those things? You can't do any of that without an ID as it is. You either have watched too much X-Files (a show I love by the way) or you aren't from America and don't understand what Americans will and will not allow. I would never allow them to implant a microchip, the ID think isn't a big deal though.

There's really nothing wrong with having a national or state ID. Most countries already have them you know

This does not surprise me in the least. I have been expecting it for quite sometime. The reason I haven't left (besides financial ones,) is the fact that the ONLY thing harder than getting INTO any other country illegally is getting OUT of the US illigally. Funny how it is easier for poeple to get IN to the US than out of it isn't it...

Well I'll be damned. Twice.

I cannot believe the speed at which the USA is moving towards being a police state.

Thank Christ I'm already in Canada.

It's true. This is called the REAL ID Act. Some of the states, including my own, are trying to block it. That's the best we can hope for I suppose.

Oh I believed you, without even having to look at the links. You know why? This is the beginning of the end of the world. The microchips are part of the "Mark of the Beast."

Yeah it is pretty scary stuff....
you can't even buy a new car without a GPS tracking system in it.
Time to buy a farm way up north....and become a hermit.
