For about the past couple weeks, I have been getting a warm sensation that starts at my thigh and travels down to my toes. It moves generally slow (about 5-10 seconds to complete), and happens every 30-60 minutes when I'm awake, whether I'm sitting, standing, laying down, etc.

The only practical way I can describe it to my friends is that it feels like an invisible dog is relieving himself on my leg. It just feels warm/hot and then once it gets to my feet, it stops. It's only in my left leg.

Going to the doctor this week, but what could it be?

That is both fascinating and scary. I'm wondering if it might be some sort of parasite? Or maybe I watch the TV show House, too much.

You could get checked for a blood clot, sometimes the extremity can feel hot or tingly or just pain. If that is the case get to a doctor ASAP. It could also be a nerve at your thigh that is being pinched, but at any rate the absolute best thing to do is get it checked out.
