Before I met my husband I dated several men. At that time I was a single mother with a baby girl. Some men were intimidated by my daughter. They immediately thought I was looking for a father for my daughter.
NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was looking for a companion, a friend, someone to love me and my daughter unconditionally.
When I met my husband, I was dating another guy. For some reason my daughter did not take likely to him. She sort of kept blowing him off. To be honest with you I felt like he was doing the same to me.
I invited my future husband to come over and watch a boxing event at my home. My daughter took an immediate liking to him. She sat in his lap, she hugged him, she even gave him a nickname. His name is CARL; she called him MY CAR ROLL. How cute. He adored her. He was not scared of her. He welcomed her presence and her attention. The more we dated it became obvious that my daughter was falling in love with him. Carl made it his pleasure to include her in all our outings. He never once said LEAVE THE BABY AT HOME. He always wanted her around.
This is how I made my decision to stop seeing the other guy and focused more attention on CARL.
I think the reason he understood how to approach US was because he was also a single parent, though his daughter did not live with him. He did spend a lot of time with his daughter.
Carl became important to my daughter and therefore he became very important to me. My daughter and I were a package. He had to accept and love us both, and he did.
In August 2002 we got married. And now she calls him DADDY. The feeling is mutual with my husband.
It is not who makes the children it is who loves and cares for them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

when your both together and there is nothing to do but you feel as if your having the best time in the world cause he is next to you

when you would do anything for him and know he would do anything for you. and you know that there is no place in the world you would rather be but by his/her side.
