I have a Husky mix, but she sure looks like a Husky....looks and personality. From my experience, I feel that the Husky is the sweetest and gentlest dog breed. They just absolutely adore people and other animals. She even loves my kitten!

I'm wondering which dog breed is your favorite and why? I also want to know which breed is excellent with people, children, and animals? And also, which breed is the least destructive when left alone for long periods of time....and which is the least vocal? Also, I feel like my Husky is pretty much a mute, lol.

My favorites are:

Husky
Golden retriever
Lab
Corgi
Beagle

I have had Labs and Golden Retrievers and they are both very good dogs, easy to train, very gentle with kids but still protective, or at least mine were. Just remember that Golden Retrievers can leave alot of hair behind at times.

I'm suprised your husky is so social becuase they are breed to be working and independent minded dogs that usually don't do well with showing there love. but that is just what they say...
I personally have two Basset Hound that I love and laugh at many times thought the day, very loud and opinionated thought. I find that they are very big on being a part of the "pack" and hate to be left out. I think that they are soo ugly they are cute... I also have a lab, german shepard, and husky mix who weight in at about 140lbs. He is very independent but also a big baby..

I have a pure breed Alaskan Husky and a Malamute Shepard mix, I love the furry ones.
Other then the black labs being a little on the wild side i have not herd anything about labs or retrievers. As for the least destructive and least vocal alot of it just depends on how they are raised! :) Good Luck

My favorite dog by far is the ShihTzu, they are very mellow dogs but yet have wonderful personalities. They are a high matinence dog though with regular groomings. We have two that are certified as National Companion Therapy dogs are are good with whom ever they meet. They are not destructive and are very loving dogs. But there are many breeds with these personality traits. Favorite dogs depend on different peoples preferences and personalities.

Well mutts are my favorite and research shows that mutts tend to be healthier and live longer. I had a mutt and he died at ageof 15. But if you want a purebreed i think that a Collie, German Sheperd, or Golden retrevier these dogs tend to be healthier and can live up to the age of 15. But in the end its up to you!

I love Doberman's, they are so affectionate and loyal, protective and funny. They have great personalities and are great with other animals and people.
I have been told that Huskies are not barkers, they are not mute either, they howl, being related to the wolf.

I love Labs. They're intelligent and fun to play with and generally like a lot of attention. They're also good with children.

I have a black lab/German Sheppard mix and she is absolutely wonderful. She is so loving and gentle like the lab...but really smart and super protective like the German sheppard. She is the perfect mix.
