I currently have the basic edition of LimeWire, but whenever I look up a song or anything, it searches and doesn't come up with any results. I could search for a popular song or video and it wouldn't find any matches. It says it detects a firewall, but I turned it off and still nothing. What's wrong and how can I fix it?

Yes I do have McAfee and I am running Vista. Sounds like you may know what's wrong.

you most likely have more than one firewall installed on to your computer... check all of your anti spy ware/virus software to see if another program is blocking the content. It will also say this if you have not forwarded your ports... forwarding your ports will boost your internet surfing and your download speed. it is higly recommended that you do it, and if you go to www.portforward.com, then you can easily learn how with step by step instructions and illustrations. i hope i helped!

I've heard preliminary reports of LimeWire not working with Vista. That's probably the issue.

Do you have Mcafee as a firewall? Do you have vista as OS?

Limwire is free. You get what you pay for.
