I live in New York. I read somewhere online that all of the signals come from the Empire State Building. I am currently receiving signals from all other local channels besides NBC. Does anyone know why this is happening? And what can I do to fix this problem? Do I have to rotate the anttena at a different angle?

Good info TV Guy!

Here's some extra stuff....

Did you know that all TV stations have a maximum power allocation? This is what the TV station is allowed to transmit.

With the advent of Digital HD and Analog signals being transmitted, the TV station has to "SHARE" the total allocated power between both signals! That means that the "combined power" of both signals cannot exceed the TOTAL allocated power....

Which mean that both signals are presently 1/2 the power of the OLD Analog-only signal !

When they turn off the OLD Analog transmitter then the NEW Digital transmitter will be able to use the FULL POWER of the TV station.....

So your signal strength is much weaker, and you may have to go to RADIO SHACK and get a 20db amplifier to connect your antenna to your TV.

I had to do that, and I only live 8 miles from all the TV stations!
And I still cannot get Fox Digital.....their original transmission level was good with Analog transmission only.....but with sharing it has dropped Both signals down enough that BOTH signals are terrible!

Way to go, FCC!
