That is prohibited in the true Islam (the majority Sunni more than 90%) but for Shia sect (the minority less than 10%) it is a must and part of their duties (they call it toqya) but it is not Islamic at all. Prophet Mohammad said that rue believers don't lie.

3 cases in which a Muslim can lie and it's ok with Allah.
1. To defend Islam
2. To bring two quarreling friends back together
3. To your wife
It's in a hadith, not the Koran, but Muslims live by the hadith as well as the Koran.

Where did God says that it is ok to lie even for Islam when the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in his hadith (Sayings of the Prophets) denounced even a white lie!

Well, that's a lie. Maybe who told you that is an ignoramus! This is definitely false. God (or Allah in Arabic) says a lie can take you to Hell...Please verify your info.

Because Allah is an invention of Shaitan, who was impersonating Gabriel for some dumb Arab about 1200 years ago. The Father of Lies naturally thinks lying is okay.
But the people above are correct. You SHOULD have provided citations for that. I THINK I've seen it, but I don't recall where.

Allah is a lie and so is Mohammad. Islam is a religion of lies that's why he says it's OK.

May the peace, blessing and mercy of God be upon you
Here are the hadiths about this issue
(16) It is of the adab of the high path of Islam to abandon lying, for it is unlawful. Allah Most High curses liars by saying, “May liars be slain” (Qur’an 51:10), in which slain means “cursed” according to the Arabic idiom likening the accursed, who loses every good and happiness, to the slain, who loses life and every blessing. The Qur’anic exegete al-Khazin notes that “May liars be cursed” originally referred to those who sat on the various roads outside Mecca warning people against the words of the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) to keep them from becoming Muslim. The verse, however, like other Qur’anic verses, is not limited to the original circumstances in which it was revealed, but applies universally, to the end of time. Those who lie, except in circumstances in which Sacred Law permits it, are cursed by Allah.
(17) It is unlawful to lie, except when making up between two people, or lying to an enemy in war, or to one’s wife. It is also unlawful to praise or blame another with an untruth. The Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) said, “Lying is wrong, except in three things: the lie of a man to his wife to make her content with him; a lie in war, for war is deception; or a lie to settle trouble between people” (Ahmad, 6.459. H). Ibn Jawzi has said, “The criterion for it is that every praiseworthy objective in Sacred Law that cannot be brought about without lying is permissible to lie for if the objective is permissible, and obligatory to lie for if the objective is obligatory.” When lying is the only way to attain one’s right, one may lie about oneself or another, provided it does not harm the other. And it is obligatory to lie to if necessary to protect a Muslim from being murdered. But whenever one can accomplish the objective by words that merely give a misleading impression with actually being false, it is unlawful to tell an outright lie, because it is unnecessary.
Lying is a sin, and the liar is cursed except in 3 cases
1) To reconcile disputing people (by telling them both that the other was saying good things about them for instance)
2)To ones wife to make her content (like you know when peoples wifes are like "Does this make me look fat" and you say "noo....." lol
3) In war, for instance if a soldier is captured, it is not a sin for him to tell a lie (for instance if he is being tortured as to what the strategy is, and he tells them a false one this is not a sin)
The only time it is permissible to take a false oath is to protect someones life.
For instance a tyrant is looking for someone you know, and they are hiding in your house, and you know they are going to kill him, and you tell him that he isn't at your home. God will not hold that against you.
Peace Be With You
