That's a great time period to lose 50 lbs. You got 36 weeks. Almost a pound and a half a week. I have tried various diet and exercise programs through the years. What worked for me was cutting down on food intake, and eating what you want in moderation (not alot of junk food!), as long as you're getting the proper nutrition every day (maybe try vitamin supplements) and exercise three or four times a week for 45 minutes. But the thing is, once you lose the weight, keep monitoring your weight maybe once a week or if you don't like to get on the scale, go by how your clothes fit. You know if something is a little tight, then cut down a bit! Stay on top of it. Good luck to you!

Yes you can!
I have had great success with weight watchers so far (20lbs. since Jan. 1). I jog 2-3 times per week, go to yoga once a week, and lift weights 2 sometimes 3 times per week. I have a friend on the same program who is down 10-12 lbs. So every person is different, and I agree with the other slow and steady pace.
Check with your doctor before you start any diet/exercise program.
Oh and the reason I like weight watchers so much is that I find it easy, I can do it online (without going to meetings...like I have time!) and I just count points without them telling me I cannot have something. They also have built in "extra" points in case you have something come up..like a dinner party, or whatever.
Oh and right now they have a free trial for a week... that way you can try it and see if you like it.
Also the "safe" way to lose weight is 2-3 lbs per week.. which means you should be able to lose your 50lbs. in just over 6 months. Good luck and I hope my answer has helped you.

It's possible...but it is definitely not healthy. You have to take these things slow. Losing 50 lbs in 9 months will affect your body forever, and not in a good way. I'd rethink it...either expand the time (which I'm guessing something special is happening in 9 months so that's probably not the best option) or lower the lbs you plan to lose. Go for 15-20, and definitely not over 25.

that's more than possible......
2 lbs a week ( 8-10 lbs a month ) is considered a healthy weight loss goal. You could actually lose more than 50 lbs in 9 months, and still be happy and healthy....
if you want to not limit what you eat ( yes, you can still have pizza! ) the easiest, and most realistic way that I've found to lose weight is this...
eat what ever you want.....whatever you normally do......but only eat 1/2 of what you would.
a piece of pizza? sure......but cut it in half first
cake? ....half a small piece, please
half a soda
half a bagel... you get the idea.....
if you do this, and increase your exercise at the same time ( walk, aerobics, yard work, housework...etc..)
I guarantee you will lose weight.

yes that's a pretty good goal acutally, and you're giving yourself plenty of time to do it. basically, the key is keeping your metabolism going and decreasing the amout of fat you take in. Eat plenty of protein, and take out the traditional three big meals a day. Eat lots of very small meals every four hours or so- that will keep your metabolism going. excercise everyday- the best long-term is lower impact stuff, like walking. Jogging is good but will eventually take a toll on your knees. Or, if you're into spending money, take a trip to Europe. I was in Italy for 13 days, riding the bus for like three hours a day and eating Gelato everyday, and I lost a good 10 pounds just because you burn off everything walking.

Yes, I think that sounds reasonable. The best diet, is a diet that you can stick to for the rest of your life, so that you're not constantly going off and on of it. Eating healthy always works (whole grains, plenty of fruits and vegetables, lean meat, and some dairy.) Jogging is a good exercise for weight loss because it is easy to stick with and it burns a lot of calories. You could also jog with a friend of listen to music while you are running. Good luck :)

Something simple and feasible. If you do something too rigorous, you may give up too easily. Try a 30-minute jog every morning and eating simply low fat foods. Low carb diets are dangerous to your health and can cause long-term problems. Slowly increase your workout routine as time goes on (and try a body cleanse every month or so).

AdvoCare products can help. www.advocare.com/0701761. I have lost 10 pds in over one month so I think you could do 50 in 9 months. Slow weight loss is the best anyway because then it stays gone.

Sure...but the only way to make absolutely sure is to have a bariatric procedure, such as stapling or a lap band procedure. I have friends who have lost over 120 lbs in 12 months.
