just close your eyes, and think of nothing. Maybe you have a lot on your mind, and you can't concentrate on sleeping. In maybe 10 or 15 minutes, you would fall fast asleep. It really works! or if it doesn't work for you, then you could try to do something that would tire your eyes. Maybe watch t.v. or surf the internet. If it doesn't work again, the last thing you could do is to make yourself tired by doing physical activities..

Well if you want to do it in a natural way you could try eating an apple before bed. A spoonful of honey with some hot milk works wonders. Also hyland's make a natural sleep aid called calms forte, you could try chamomille tea. If you don't mind otc(over the counter) then try tylenol p.m. or unisom.

Eat a turkey sandwich and drink a warm cup of milk about 1/2 hour before you got to bed.

Your body isn't tired because you probably didn't do anything physical that day. Go run around or something at like 7PM and you should fall right asleep. (I don't know about you, but exercise wakes me up. So, don't do it too close to when you're going to go to sleep.)

go through your nightly routine earlier. You can also wake up earlier which should make you sleepier earlier.

If all else fails, take an over the counter sleep aid for a few days and it should help straighten out your schedule.

Avoid sugar and caffeine after dinner. Have a warm bath and try lie with a book in bed.
