Muslim Brothers & Sisters and all others please hlep me out on this one, Thanks.
In the Bible Deuteronomy 18:18 reads
I will raise up a great prophet like you from among their kinsmen, and will put my words into his mouth; he shall tell them all that I command him
Christians, I am a former Christian, tell me that the message Jesus left was love your neighbor, worship Jesus & God as one and to repent. Additionally I have been told that Muhammad's teachings counter the 10 commandments.
From what I can see, and some Christians deny this, that the 10 Commandments are instructions on how to go about loving your neighbor. The Prophet Muhammad delivered clear & detailed instructions on how to love your neighbor through the Ten Commandments. Some of these instructions go hand and hand with the Geneva Convention.
How are Moses' and Muhammed's lives similar or dissimilar? Please explain.

I am a Christian, and I agree with you. The basic, most fundamental beliefs of Islam and Christianity are ultimately the same.
Here is what I personally believe, in addition to my Christian beliefs: God created an amazingly diverse and varied population of people. It follows from common sense that he would provide that diverse population with diverse pathways in finding him. Different cultures necessitate different understandings of God, who is beyond total understanding. We are incapable of fully knowing God, but he has blessed us with culture-specific ways to get as close to him as we can.
Therefore, for someone who is Arabic or shares similar cultural values, Islam exists. For someone with more western, European and American values, Christianity exists. Perhaps Hinduism and Buddhism exists for Asian interests. Of course, we are free to make our choices ourselves, and are not confined by our culture. The important thing is that you are following the two golden rules of both the Bible AND the Quran: love the Lord your God with all your heart, and LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR!!
Who am I to question your beliefs? Am I without sin? Am I perfect? How do I know that my way is the only way when everyone else believes the same thing about their beliefs? I believe that I am imperfect, and so is everyone else. So I respect other beliefs. It seems obvious to me that the essence of all religions is the same. In that sense I agree with you. The Ten Commandments is a useful tool for everyone, Islamic, Christian, or otherwise.
Thanks for asking such an interesting and relevant question!

Actually the 10 Commandments can be divided into 2 parts. The first part deals with man's relationship to God and the 2nd part man's relationship to man. That is why Jesus said that all the Law and prophets could be summed up by 1) Love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind and strength and 2) Love your neighbor as yourself. Muhammed was a deluded man and not a prophet of God, so there is no comparison.

My dear brother you said the truth. Muhammad PBUH practiced what he said and put the best example and the highest code of ethics for human behavior both at the time of peace and war. Mohammad, Jesus, Moses, and Abraham all were chosen by God and were the best humans ever and they are similar in their devotion and love of God and fulfilling their duties as been ordered to do (PBUT all). The revert of knowledgeable Christians who did meticulous study and search for the truth as sister Yvonne Ridley and brother Yusuf Estes always touch my heart as it is a good indication that this generation of Muslims who were able to uncover the truth of Islam even when tremendous media efforts are used to distort the image of Islam so simple people who don't have the motive and the capacity to look for the truth will be diverted away. But Allah is fulfilling His promise to prophet Mohammad and Islam today against all the odds is the fastest growing religion in the world.

i beleive that their are many prophets out their that teach divine nature to all who are willing to hear and listen to the gospel. the problem is most people are judgemental of others and are not opened minded.the gospel of jesus christ should go hand in hand with other spiritually minded people. i beleive that people who are inspired to write about their experiences with god sacred.the fact that there are many leaders out there that laid down their life for others to believe is the reason why we have god in our lives.we should honor not reject teachings because if it wasnt for them today we wouldnt have the ability to choose how or what we believe in.
i believe in the gospel of jesus christ and the fact that he died on the cross for us.he sacrificed so much for us,.
and for your question was how are moses and muhammeds life simular................look at their spiritual paths they were loving people and living prophets for god isnt that enough?

here is a funny joke on the 10 commandments
TEN COMMANDMENTS "The real reason that we can't have the Ten Commandments
in a courthouse? You cannot post 'Thou Shalt Not Steal,' 'Thou Shalt Not
Commit Adultery' and 'Thou Shall Not Lie' in a building full of lawyers,
judges and politicians! It creates a hostile work environment!"

Moses/Jesus were a prophet/Messiah of God, Muhammad was neither.
Moses and Jesus did miracles in order to prove their ministries were from God. Muhammad did not, and was not.
Moses gave the law and Jesus (as the one like Moses) reaffirmed the law and many of the Jews believed and accepted him not as a mere prophet but the son of God! Muhammad was rejected by the Jews and Christians of his day due to his false teachings, contradictions, and misunderstandings of the law.
Moses and Jesus alike saved Israel. Muhammad only oppressed them and made war against them.
When Moses and Jesus heard the voice of God it was clear and there was no confusion as to who it was. Muhammad had to ask around to figure out who was speaking to him (tradition says angel, but was probably a demon)
Moses and Jesus both witnessed the birth of a new kingdom. Muhammad started a violent kingdom of Satan that torments the earth to this day.
Jesus told us that children were precious and to be careful not to corrupt them or severe judgment would fall upon you. Muhammad married a child at the age of 7 and had sex with her at the age 9.
Moses with Gods power killed the Egyptians. (unbelievers) Jesus is going to come back and slaughter all unbelievers. Muhammad oppressed and killed Jews in Medina.
Did I miss anything? You need to come back to Jesus, he is the truth!
Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God's wrath remains on him." -John 3:36

mohammed was not a prophet of GOD. He merely plageurized the bible.
mohamm was amurderer and liar. Jesus was sinless.
Mohamm palq[gerized the Word of GOD. Jesus ws the Written Word incarnate and the Living Word through man.
Mohamm bones are dust. Jesus is Alive.
Mohamm was a mere man. Jesus was Emmanuel(GOD with us) or GOd in the Flesh.
Mohamm died. Jesus died for our sins. Jesus was crucified for the likes of mohamm too.
Praise GOD of whom Jesus is Lord of Lord and King Of Kings. Jesus is Alive, His blood only can wash away all sin.

embrace this wisdom into your open mind
the 10 commandments were never truly meant to be kept
they were used as a measuring rod to show that no man by his own might, mind, etc, could please the heart of God
thus the need for a savior: enter Jesus
