No one likes to take about death, or even think about it, but have you thought about what your funeral would be like, or wondered who would attend? Assume you could observe your burial from a 3rd person perspective...what would it be like? What song would play? Would they follow your wishes? What would your epitaph say?

I'm hoping mine will be like my life: small, short-lived, without anyone around, and cheap (As in someone other than my family having to pay for it) without anything to show for it.

I would like my family and friends to attend. If they want to invite random people, let them. The more the merrier, not as if I'll be able to kick them out anyway.

The chairs would be comfortable, not those pews or folding chairs. Chairs will velvet cushions.

I would be in either a black and red, or black and white, "corset" top dress.

My eyes would have black eyeliner and maybe a design going down for the cheek.

My hair would be down.

The inside of casket will be a crimson red with silver blue seams.

The pillow that my head will forever rest upon will be red and blue.

I don't want to say what will be said, b/c it's not my choice...once again, not like I'm going to pop out of the coffin and tell the people off b/c they dissed dead me. I don't want just one person talking though. Whoever wants to talk, better get up and talk! haha.

I want to buried at night. Because I always liked the night.

I don't know exactly what song I want to play, but I don't want it to be very sad ya know?

I want to be buried with pictures of my friends and family, my teddy bear i got when i was born, and my writing. and a book.

When my casket is lowered, people will throw in one white and one red rose one at a time.

I want the crowd to sing along to the song that is playing as the rose dropping is happening.

Yeah. I don't mind talking about death.

I would like to be cremated and have my ashes scatted by my family and a couple of good friends who outlive me.

There is a song I would like them to play, but other then that just simple outside in my favorite park. And I don't want anyone to pay for anything other then the cremating. I might just even put some money aside for that one day, so someone else doesn't have to deal with it.

My family (really, my siblings) know what to do for my eventual funeral (and they know I want a quick service, no 'viewing' -- just Military Honors) ... and yes, I'll have a marker that shows my Name and Military Information (after all, I AM Retired Military). I've already planned it so that NO ONE will be able to eat, drink or be merry at MY EXPENSE After my death .. and that the ones who disrespected and/or abused me during my lifetime are NOT around to take from me after my death too.

Which is why pre-need preparation is best - for the sake of the departed persons' liking and the sake of the remaining family and friends.

Afterall, we have our lifetimes to prove ourselves, this time is simply the goodbye to the earthly shell.

I want everyone to not be sad, but to remember their best memory of me out loud and tell embarassing stories about me and how I am a total doofus. I would want it to be a celebration of my life rather than a sad time. I would want everyone to pick a song that reminded them of me.
