I just met this new guy and hes the outgoing type and Im really shy. I want to be more outgoing but I have no idea what to say. When he talks to me my mind goes blank and I have no idea how to respond...please help!

i used to be like.. extremeeely shy.. when ppl would talk to me for the first time they'd get the feeling i hated them or soemthign because i just couldn't talk to anyone or respond to them .. and then i decided i was just not going to care about what anyone thinks.. if they don't like me for who i am then who needs them anyways? just say what's on your mind to this guy and if he thinks your werid or seomthing it doesn't matter, u deserve someone that'll like u for who you are. nothing more, nothing less. im more outgoing now.. and werid, crazy, insane.. u name it. but i've found a lot more ppl talk to me and like me.. and the guy i happen to like seems to really like it when im crazy. just be yourself. i believe that's the best way to solve a lot of problems, especially this one. screw everyone else =]

just be yourself, and keep reminding yourself that he is outgoing and so are you. To become more outgoing can be done several ways. one way is to learn what kind of sports he likes or what his favrotie sports team is and watch one of the games and talk to him about it the next day. Or to not be shy just take a deep breath and think this is the guy i like and go in and talk to him, it becomes natural after a while and you wont have this probluem. Believe me i was just like you i was very shy but i sucked it up and told my self i really liek this guy and i can do it and pretty soon i got over it. Well i hoped i helped, and good luck.

The best conversationalist knows how to listen to what the other person is saying. You're spending too much time thinking about what you are going to say. LISTEN and respond appropriately.

Relax, and just be yourself. If you really want to impress him, try to find if you two have common interests, and go from there.
