I'm not sure I know what emotional cheating is. If it was just an email, as in a friendly email(nothing flirty or sexual or all about feelings and the past) then it's ok.

The emotional part depends on the emails content... the cheating part depends on if you do it behind your new man's back or not.

Like they said, it's what is written in the email and most importanly what ur intentions are. If your intentions is to get back with that person then hell yea, it's cheating. Your being dishonest to the person your with about where ur feelings truely lies.
