Hmm...rich and legal....or poor and illegal. Well, common sense tells you that rich and legal is the better option.

tLola, the rich Mexicans we don't need to move to your country, we already live in paradise. Venezuelans come for been working to companies and wind up staying illegals. I know Venezuelans that they don't have money and struggle to make it like any other group. All Latino America have European ancestry, Mexico as well. The country with most Europeans are Argentina and Uruguay. Ah, let me to remind you that the third richest person in the world is a Mexican, his name? CARLOS SLIM!! And do you know what he did to Venezuela? That country has the worst communication system of the world and Slim was in business trying to build a new system for them, but because he's an eagle in business the said to Chavez in the last minute: NO, BECAUSE AFTER I MODERNIZE YOUR SYSTEM YOU ARE GOING TO NATIONALIZE IT AND I'M NOT YOUR PENDEJO". So think about it. Mexicans have more money that Venezuela, check the statistics so you can have a better opinion of us.

That's the problem, most Americans are worried about the poor Mexican mostly peasants, but not all, some are skilled laborers entering illegally taking mostly the back breaking jobs and not about the wealthy FOREIGNERS, coming in with money based in their homeland, establishing businesses, and because they speak Spanish you assume the are Mexicans taking jobs and small businesses, i have seen a big increase of South Americans entering legally, because you really have to have money to visit the U.S. , so if things are getting bad, and you have some cash and a chance to start over in a more prosperous country, what would you do.

Anyone rich is welcomed in the USA, whether there venes, mexis, costa rics, you name it. Bottom line there still and will always be what they are. Don't get envious because they can afford a condo on miami, they are not the only group doing this. Here's a good example. Recently, American Idol had a Chilean and an Venezuelan singer. They both claimed their heritage for TV, guess what? they were ridiculed and both got eliminated. I don't call that being well recieved.

You answered your own question. You said rich Venezuelans coming to the US.....why didn't you say poor Venezuelans? A lot of Mexicans have European ancestry as well (they have white skin and light colored eyes).....such as a lot of Venezuelans are dark (African ancestry).

Because Venezuela does not share a border with us. Venezuelan immigrants rich or poor don't make up a percentage of our population. Plus you have to make some money to be able to be a citizen, partially because of Mexico so yeah its Mexico's fault there aren't poor Venezuelans here.

As Bush said himself in his last address, in unofficial or "off the cuff " remark, it's all about the money, same as any other place on the planet. If you want entry to teh country and have lots of money they will gladly suck you dry, if you have no money, like Mexico, they don't want you coming here. If you are a native, and have no money, like Mexico, they wish you'd leave so rich people can take your land and use it for "more appropriate" things, like resorts and golf courses for our supreme court judges and politicians. Unless a Mexican is 100% "Native American", they all have European Ancestry, as Spain is a part of Europe. And the reason most of them left Europe, is they were poor and their countries wanted to be rid of them. See the pattern?

I didn't even know they had European ancestry.
I understood that most of them were legally here. I think that is the difference.
However, it is a fact that educated people with more money, capable of paying more in taxes, are less of a drain on our education and other services.
