No my friend, I assure you that you're not the only one. The grass is greener is a pretty common experience. Its mainly cause we get so used to being in our own personal "comfort" zones whether its at work, at home, with our spouses or partners, etc. Because we get so used to them, they lose their ability to excite us. So we tend to get bored. Then when we notice something or somebody different from what we have and are used to, it suddenly seems new and exciting to us. So the girl/guy we see at the next cubicle or the new job our neighbor gets, or the shiny car at the stop light next to you seems so alluring cause its different from what we have and are used to. But with human nature, even by some miracle if we suddenly had the guy/girl, new job, shiny new car, we would soon enough get comfortable with them and they would lose their ability to excite us, and we would be noticing just how green the grass is over there.

or that's my take on the subject anyway for what it's worth.

this is human nature. as we are we realize the grass is not greener on the other side the thorns are just in different places.

because it is someone elses grass. and no you are not the only one. sometimes when you don't know what the other is like it always looks better than what you have. when in reality if you would water your own lawn and prune it just a tad bit your grass would be green too. think about it...
