I think it's important because one never knows when a disaster might strike. Knowing some basics could make all the difference, especially if you have a building full of kids. Also, disasters don't conveniently wait for the weekends or until school is over to occur. Plus, schools usually end up being a place where people can go for help after a disaster. I think having something to do and knowing what to do would help keep the kids calm.

Well: it's because we'd need "Safe Communites and each
Teacher & Students would know about Earth Quake Safety
Programs .Also that is very important "!

disasters can occur any time
to learn will help to save one self and others as well.
its an additional skill to learn, so it adds some thing to ur knowledge
it polishes one's mind and help to think beyound if such thing happen
it gives / fosters sense of responsibility
its good to learn different things,
it help to understand nature as well.
