There are SEVERAL Jedi "churches' in Europe.
I am not reffering to the little religion box, I am reffering to their attendance counts.

Yoda is freaking awesome!!!! He's like a cat with a light saber.
Mr. Lucas based the Force and the Jedi on Druidism and a few other old faiths, they have alway been here, it is growing because it was told very well. There is quite a Jedi following in the Americas. I frankly credit my paganism with Yoda's description of the Force from Empire, I was really young and it struck a chord with me.

I take wisdom anyplace it is. I even have believed interior the rigidity for some years. Yoda is a sage to me. yet this would not make me a Jedi adherent. i think the Jedi Temple and its downfall shows a number of the risks of organizing it right into a faith.

It's compelling to have powers etc. beyond normal operating physics, and respectability, even in fantasy, particularly if you feel inadequate socially. -I'm not saying this to condemn anyone, I have personal experience with the feelings, and the why of them, that's all.
On the one hand it is a useful spring board into philosophy and religious study due to its being based upon previous, and well regarded religious ideals, as well as potential science. On the other, if it doesn't lead one to greater understanding in this respect, science, and self honesty, it is very harmful to spend one's life in such a narrow niche, for the sake of longing hope, and little to no fulfillment,. Especially as the writings and movies will never satisfy a real life experience outside of sci-fi fan bases.

It makes more sense than any of the old religions. Its more all encompassing and more welcoming than any of the old religions. The old religions need to either change to fit the times or they'll die out.

It's usually a subversion of the idea that one must have a religion - on census forms, for example.
