Its totally normal. Too many have an aversion to using the bathroom in public places but you have to go, it is healthy to move your bowels 1-3 times daily. Some people develop set times that they go everyday, but others cannot. So just go with what your body wants to do...you will feel better and be healthier in the end.

Good for you that you are eating balanced meals and I guess somewhere along the way you are getting more fiber. You SHOULD go to the bathroom everyday. Once a week would have been cause for you to go to the doctor to find out what was wrong...don't worry about it and be happy that all that gunk is being removed. Like my lil bro says (and he prowls Yahoo Answers!) "10 lbs lighter!!"

Your body is getting back to normal. This is a very good sign. Once a week is definitely NOT normal.
You're treating your body well and eating right. that is great.
There's a great book out that explains how all that stuff works. It's amazing how it all works together! This book was also featured on Oprah. [Where Oprah, being Oprah, discussed openly and in detail the various aspects of bowel movements...]:

It's not normal to not have a bowel movement daily. It means you are not eating a balanced diet and not getting enough fiber.
Look at it this way, if you are only having a BM once a week, that is a week's worth of food in your body. It usually takes 24-48 hours to digest food from the time you ingest it.
Everyone does it, so you either go back to being unhealthy to avoid using the bathroom in public, or try to get over your insecurities about the bathroom.

It is normal to move them once or more a day. You are getting rid of everything that has gone through your system. It may not be the happiest of moments in your life, but actually you are in better shape then when you didn't do it before. Don't complain, there are many of us who would love to have what you have.
