u r interesting to hv such a qn going on in yr mind..
my take is:-
The guy, whether is my age or younger than me and he turns out to be a loser when he is 50 something and retired and broke and watches tv and drinks beer all day.. what difference does it make if he is older than me to begin with??
SO i have to be smart enough to make sure he is capable. So when he is 50 something and retired, he will be RICH and watches PLASMA tv and drinks expensive WINE all day...i guess by that time i don't hv to worry about my life anymore.. LOL...
Well, i m materialistic but c'mon.. we cannot survive on true love alone.. we need to eat (food) and live (a house) and other neccessities....call us golddiggers.. what the heck....but we can't feed on True Love... :) .. Money will definitely come into the picture :)

Oh, come on!! =D That's stereotyping. Not all men at 40 and 50 watch TV and drink beer all day!
You have to consider the fact that some girls like to be treated as mature women are treated: with seriousness in a relationship. Not like little girls on a high school date but they wanted to date someone mature and smooth.
But, I'm stereotyping those girls too. Overall, no one can control who they fall in love with or who they are attracted to.

First of all, I believe age is a state of mind. There are mature 50 year old and then there are 50 years old who act 12.
Girls go for the guys they can communicate and connect with. Age is not that important. Plus haven't you heard that women get more mature younger, so they look for a guy with the same level of maturity?

Sometimes older guys have their s**t together, and know how to treat a girl by taking her places (AND PAYING FOR IT!) or buying her things....Hopefully, he has a house, and a nice car and a JOB!!! A smart girl won't hook up with the TV watching, beer drinking one, she'll hook up with the one with a boat and all day to spend on it! You MUST be really young, because if he's retired when he's 50 something, then he's doing something right!!!!!!!!!!!

Well let's start with asking why girls like guys who watch TV and drink beer all day... Or do you think that's something that automatically happens to every man when he turns 50?

girls like them because they're more mature, better established financially, and they've likely gotten most of their macho carousing out of their systems! Sure, it'll suck when he's super old and we're slightly less than super old, but who cares? We'll still both be old. and another thing - if girls did go for guys their own age, then we'd be 50-something and he'd be 50-something and retired and broke and watching tv and drinking beer all day, and it would still suck.

Not all girls like older guys. But the ones that do are the more dependent ones who probably feel more secure with a older guy with a career and life already started.

Okay, since we are smart, we are not naive enough to invest our future in someone who hangs out in bars.
We are aware enough to see the patterns that would lead to such a situation.
We do have to date older men in our younger years to allow the 'catch-up'.
A 20 year old young man is in no way on the same level as MOST 20 year old young women.
The plateau changes as you get older though :-)

Sorry, not all guys are like that. I am married to a woman 11 years younger and she is the best I have ever met. Age is not an issue, getting along and agreeing is.
