Swollen joints?

my joints in my fingers are very swollen, stiff and painful.
my doctor said it wasnt arthritis.
any ideas wat it could be and wat i can do to releive the pain?

It becomes impossible to repply such typical problems without patient exam.
There is no medicine in this world to treat pain. Pain killers kill the patient and not the pain. So i suggest acupuncture; it can treat both the problems - swelling as well as pain, - because pain has origine of swelling.

You have a good doctor? I suggest seeing another one. The way you describe your fingers suggests arthritis.
