its not against it i dont think ... but i do believe the bible implies that the plan for mankind will be finished before he escapes to the stars ... that was the implication of the tower of babel and confusing the languages ... God said that basically nothing could hold man back from achieving anything he dreamed up because he had cooperation .. and thus that would have happened to soon before the fulness of all those that are supposed to be saved is done ...

Nope, my religion believes that there are millions galaxy out there and there are also earth-like planet, thousands of them. It's only a matter of time before discovered. I wouldn't mind to live there.

Not really. Earth would continue to have the significance to me of being the Origin of my being, the All Mother. As long as I could contemplate sentience, the nature of life, I would be ok. Another living planet that produced life would be something interesting to see.

actually, i can't imagine any religion being against it. if we can move around on the earth, then what could be wrong with moving away from it?
