read some stuff, make some calls, go to some appointments, wait around for a while, call people back, go to some interviews, try to stay out of trouble, wait some more, keep working, study history, go through the bureaucratic process basically

You have to learn ENGLISH that is read , write and speak it , then you have to pay to get the papers in order , then get fingerprinted and picture taken, wait 2 years or so and take a test that requires you are able to read, write and speak ENGLISH. then if you pass the test. wait a few months or so and get sweared in , by the fedral court.

This is the correct way BY the INS office.
