My 6y/o daughter just had that done. All I know is it was positive and we are now on our way to a children's hospital to see a specialist. I was told it had to do with autoimmune diseases, such as lupus, etc...

ana is antinuclear anitbody. A titer is to determine the level of antibody if present. they anibody is againt the hosts own cells. It is commonly used as a starting point to test for lupus and some other autoimmune diseases.
