It's your choice to give in to your circumstances, but nothing happens outside of God's will. He knows what choices you are going to make and the outcome of them.

What about all of those people who have excelled despite their circumstances? Or, on the flip side - What about those people who have all of the resources at their disposal and still choose to mess up their lives? I believe your circumstnaces can AFFECT what happens in your life; but, ultimately, you (with the direction of a higher power), choose your path in life.
