i have been searching the web for hours and i have found out everything anyone ever wants to know about hypersomnia except its history.
i have found not evidence of when it was first discovered or who by, who may of had it throughout history ect. if anyone knows about the history of hypersomnia please tell me.

This isn't the kind of thing that would BE discovered. It is kind of a no brainer. Hyper somnia means you sleep too much, people throughout human history have done this, and others have probably observed it.

If you want to look into it from a psychiatric perspective, see if you can get hold of the DSM IV. (D S M 4, I don't think it is online but you can check) It is a diagnostic manual for mental health issues. And you will note that oversleeping, chronic fatigue, etc are part of a lot of other conditions, including depression.

Aside from that, you might look into the study of sleeping...and take note of when we started to link amounts of sleep to moods and daily functioning. For example, we might not have always known that if you are sleepy you are grumpy...or that you shouldn't drive. We probably haven't always known that insomnia stresses the body and can cause brain damage. We probably didn't know that OVERSLEEP after a while causes hypoxia (lack of oxygen) and can give you a headache. Chronic oversleep also lowers metabolism.

So these are the things that were probably news at one time.
