The new track gets my vote by a huge margin, but I wasn't too big of a fan for all the problems it created last weekend at LMS. Since there were excessive amount of wrecks and cautions, its completely natural that newly paved tracks get a lot criticism, especially from the drivers like Tony Stewart that struggle to adjust. As the track ages over time, teams will dial in their cars and the all the grooves will become more accessible to drivers making for much better racing than the old 12 degree "flat" track. Just take a look at Homestead, which has undergone similar reconfiguration back in 2003 and has 20 degree progressive banking . Homestead is now producing some of the most exciting season finales.

New track is awesome, I have tickets in the earnhardt terrace so i'm at a perfect spot to see the whole track, I feel sorry for anyone in the main grandstand, the have that new media center towering infront of them so they cant see the back straightaway.

The hard tires were a joke in all honesty, even though the race was on the hottest day of the year so far(90 degrees) you could tell they werent gripping at all...if they went with a midrange tire then it would have been alot better.

The dodges were dominating all weekend on that track. And all you stewart and dale jr. fans should have noticed they both finished alot better on the new track than the old one.

the new one, It's faster and you can't really blame the track for all the wrecks. The new tires they have now suck. This will be proven through out the season.

bruton smith owns that track, and i feel he honestly tried to improve it, yet with the higher speeds; goodyear and NASCAR wanted to go with a harder tire. this harder tire may be just ideal when summer gets here too. i don't think it is the track. i think it is the harder tire in cool weather that was the problem.

Never driven on either, so I wouldn't know. I'm sure once some rubber gets laid down it will be a little better for the drivers.
