It all depends on your belief system and of course your ignorance ( not meaning that you are of course) I definitely believe in God, but the difference of having Him or not is faith. See, all believers ( or most of them for that part) have never physically seen God, but the fact that He exists in our hearts and mind gives us hope that there is something pure and beautiful out there. That we have a purpose in this world. Sort of like a reason to keep moving forward and move on to better things. I certainly am no preacher nor do I go to church very often, but I have God in my life. Also, for those who don't, I don't feel God condemns them. Rather forgives them. What about those people that are born and raised in these religions that praises material things. Who is to say that a whole civilization is going to hell because of a religious believe that has been passed down by centuries. And those who know better always believe in God, but in my opinion they are just mad at Him for something that might of happened to that person.

Because God gives hope. Without God what is the meaning of life? Honestly now.

Having God in my Life is Love, Children, Family, Friends, Tulips, Roses and Sunrises with Sunsets!
Not having God in my Life would be thorns, splinters, bruises, cuts, scrapes, blisters, all over my heart!
I want God in My Life!

Guilt and self-hatred. And lack of ambition.

Religion teaches us that we are inherently evil, that we are worthless, and that we need someone else to make us good and pure.

If you believe that you are nothing, you will always feel like you are nothing. If you believe that you will never be good enough, you never will be good enough. If you believe that nothing here really matters and it will all be settled after death, what's the point in striving for things now?

If you break free from these chains, life can be a wonderful place. You learn that everything is not forgiven with the wave of a hand and that the consequences of our actions are inevitable. You can be happy in knowing that, YES ... I AM A GOOD PERSON. NO ... ONE PERSON'S SIN DOESN'T MAKE ME DIRTY OR STAINED.

Its a pretty liberating, spritual experience. You ought to try it.

well u always feel like you have someone to rely on when times are rough some one will always love you and it gives you a sense of relif. With the comfort of God you always feel like whatever happens is for the best because he chose for it to happen to you. God gives you structure and balance in your life that I cannot feel other wise. without God you will suffer in your times of need and will feel incomplete. I guess if you dont know God you will not feel the same way as i do but anyone with a close relationship with God will definitly agree with me.

Freedom not to have an excuse for the way I am or an excuse for the way things are. Very mature very liberating. Superstition is something I have not ever understood - belief in the supernatural is not logical and of all my faults a lack of common sense and logic are not any of them.

As humans, we all have our individual ways of coping with life's stresses. Some behaviors are healthy (exercising, meditating). Others are destructive (overeating, drinking, doing drugs). For me, God is my coping mechanism. He is my "fix",when life gets unbearable. It saddens me that so many people are missing out on the peace that I have, despite my family situation and health issues. Rather than losing myself in a hit of weed or a glass of vodka, I get lost in encouraging words from the bible or prayer. This is the ONLY way I know how to get through the tough times.....It has worked well for me.

personally ive been comparing and wondering about this, when i still believed in God , i asked so many questions about religion and the church and got into debates and all that stuff, and been considered weird and all that, i was always asking why would GOd want me to go to church and sing for HIm, what if i did not feel like wanting too, i dont know am pretty much confused, when i believed in God i had someone to talk to, to tell my thoughts too, but im still depressed and i feel lonely
like right now i dont believe in God, i just believe in humanity and all that, but i do now that perhaps it would be better to think that there is a God out there who would save me from this wretched world, but like bob marley said, " if you know what life is worth, you would look for yours on earth, our pastor encourages me to forget the world, but i live in it, i face it everyday i must learn it first

Its the difference between living like a human, and living like an animal.

Animals live their lives, too. But, their considerations are to eat, sleep, mate, and defend. That is all. They function with no thought beyond the bodily considerations of life. Currently, millions and millions of people are living exactly like animals. They satisfy the senses by eating whatever satiates them, they are working like donkeys and dogs to defend their homes and possessions, their status and their bank accounts. Their minds are agitated and stimulated constantly by thoughts of sex and sensual gratification. And when they are done with that, they are concerned with getting more sleep, better sleep, more comfortable sleep. This is life without God.

Having God in your life is understanding your position as eternal servitor of God. It is understanding that we were created by Him for His pleasure only, and that our purpose is to please Him, not ourselves. All pleasure belongs to God, just as everything else in existence belongs to God. When we use God's possessions to please Him, we also share in that pleasure, no matter what the activity, so we can understand that serving God is what actually makes us happy. Having God in your life means that eating, sleeping, mating, and defending have no relationship to us as servants, so we accept only those things necessary to maintain our bodily existence, without thought to our own comfort and taste, but to God's pleasure and taste. When we direct our activities, thoughts, desires, and will towards God, then our life as a human is successful. It is not that we don't have desires, but our desire is to please God, not have a shiny car. If somehow or other we have a nice apartment, and plenty of food, and a shiny car, we should understand that it was not by our own efforts, for our own pleasure, but that it is God's nice apartment and shiny car, and food, and He is simply sharing His pleasure with us. We have no right to ego, thinking we deserve respect or wealth, because it is by God's mercy only that we have them, and He can take them away again at any moment.

Also, God is in every person's life. Some recognize and acknowledge Him, and some don't. This non-recognition is due to forgetfulness only. People forget that God is in control in every respect, and they are thinking that they are in control. They are deluded, thinking, "I am the cause", and "I am the owner", and "My will be done". They do not know that they are being controlled every minute, by someone else's design. They never stop to think, "If I am the owner, how is it that some tornado has taken my house? How has my child died, without my consent? If I am in control, then why must I stop what I am doing to go to the bathroom? If my will be done, then how am I dying? Why am I getting old? If I can do whatever I like, then why am I forced to serve?"

Every minute, we are serving. We cannot escape it. We first serve our parents, then teachers, then employers. We must serve the government, our friends. We even serve our pets. We are limited in our freedom. We have a choice to serve voluntarily, or by force. We can serve the state by voluntarily obeying the laws, but if we choose to break the law, we will be forced to obey from behind the bars of prison. We cannot escape judgement either. If we obey the laws of society and of the state, we are judged to be good citizens, and are given status and associations equal to that judgement. If we do not obey, a different judge will give us status and association equal to that judgement. In any case, we always were, still are, and always will be, limited in our freedom in accordance with our position as servants.

Having God meant somebody with me 24/7 to cast all my worries and cares to.

Not having God means I have to go it alone.
