Our planet is likely to continue going about it's business for 3 or 4 billion years more. Whether or not we will be adapted to live in the environment that it has changed into is another question. It will be different. It will change, everything changes.

Nah, Terra'll be destroyed in the next billion years or so, when the sun's surface gets too close to it. That's not to say there aren't other planets for us to be reborn on (I believe in reincarnation, btw ^_^).

Of course it won't. The bible says it's going to burn in a fervent heat. Not a pretty picture.
However, there will be a new heaven and a new earth.

According to scientists it will alter too much to sustain life. According to the Book of Revelation, God will destroy it and replace it with a new one.

No. The Sun will eventually burn out, and may consume the Earth in it's death throes. If not, then we lose all light.
