I'm sure they don't mean to. My parents are kinda like that too. The best way to take care of it, is to tell them how you feel and what you want them to do-which is to stop.
They're just like that because they're having a hard time seeing their daughter grow up. It's how parents are, I guess. You'll see when you have kids. :)

Hang in there!

You can get them to stop treating you like a child by taking more responsibility. Parents will always look at you as their " little girl" but if you try small things ( this will not be fun ) like doing extra chores around the house w/o being asked, offering your help to your parents , improving your grades, coming home when you are supposed to and talking to them about the things they do that embarrass you ( like calling you "pookie" in front of your friends)and why they embarrass you (because it was a childhood nickname that you grew out of) you can work towards not being embarrassed quite as much.

Because you are there baby! When your fifty, you'll still be there baby! If you want to be treated with more maturity, sit them down and have a genuine heart to heart talk with them. Say something like, I'm growing up now and would appreciate if you would treat me with more maturity. I know right from wrong, and I would appreciate some more responsibility to show you I am not a baby anymore. Hope it works! Good Luck!

Show them that you can be responsible.
Be ontime, keep your room clean, help with the housework.
