Ok heres the deal. I'm 16. I weigh in at 135lbs (61kg), and i'm just about 6 feet tall (180cm). I REALLY think i'm underweight, sometimes when I look at my arms, they look like a couple of twigs and i'm extremely embarrassed, so I wear long sleeved baggy shirts to cover up for it.

Besides that I know exactly what I want to do, I want to gain muscle mass and FAST. I want to have nice clean cut muscles by the end of the summer which will also be bigger too. So how can I do that?..give me everything for advise!

Dude if you are as skinny as you say you are, then you aren't going to have those arms by summer....

Sorry for sh!tting on your parade but it's true, build muscle takes time and lots of it!!! The only way you are going to get bigger is by working out religiously and taking whey protein and creatine while doing it.

Try this shake every time after working out:

1 c. strawberries
1/2 banana
1/2 cranberry juice
3/4 c. milk
1 c. ice cubes
1 scoop whey protein
1 scoop creatine

It works like a charm, but you have to make sure you are properly hydrated when taking creatine.....at least 10 c. of water a day!! It isn't hard to drink that much water because you will crave it all of the time!!

If you try it, let me know how it is going for you and if you need anything else i could help you with just email me.....broncosfan1722@yahoo.com...

Good luck, and go begin you new routine!!

If you want to bulk up, you've got to do do heavier weights with fewer reps. You don't necessarily have to take more protein, I was reading in Mens Health that carbs and meat are both good for building muscle, even though the carbs dont actually become muscle. They're used as energy for your workout. If you overdo protein it'll just go to your gut. And as for body type, I'm also skinny and athletic, but remember a lot of it has to do with genetics. Short armed short people have a lot easier time building muscle and showing it, just like how fat shows more on shorter people. Doing a lot of sets with heavy weights and low reps will help you get bigger but in the end you may have to settle for not being a muscle model. Slightly lower rest time between reps and sets will help as well, as it forces your body into anaerobic respiration which tells your brain to build muscle. Eating within 2 hours before or after working out will also help a bit. And make sure you are eating enough, otherwise no matter how much you work out, you can't build muscle out of nothing.

you might just want to get a construction/manual labor job over the summer. theres no way to gain a lot of muscle in a couple months. but youll get paid for doing hard work, gain some mass, and come out with a nice tan.
