1. I've been asking that all my life, I still don't have an answer.
The only hint I have is a very old book called the bible, which state God created us to live happy on a paradasic earth but something happend and we ended up here.
2. I don't seek a God. I know that I will die one day. I have come to accept that. I have come to appreciate how lucky I am to have the things that I do, knowing that there are people all over the world dying of hunger and suffering. I hope there is a God so that justice will be done by all the evil doers but Im not counting on it. I definately don't need him, but I wish he existed for the sake of others.
3. I think if there is a God, he has left us for a while for us to understand that without him, humans and other intelligent life cannot get along. Adam and eve desobeyed God and wanted to live independent from God's laws.
Also I think that I have learn a great deal from my own mistakes in life and that I am a better and wiser person than I was yestarday.
Maybe God wants us to learn from our own mistakes to understand we don't have all the answers.

1. We exist because we must. All things exist. Every thing that is possible, actually IS, somewhere, somewhen. I experienced that directly when I was 17. We exist because we and everything else are manifestations of the very nature of "All powerful", which everything combined, is.
2. Union. We live in a shell of self-conception. We know it is false. We want freedom. We don't know how. A more powerful being is a way to seek that freedom without having to take responsibility for having created the cage of self-image we have made for ourselves.
3. Yes and no. For some, yes, for some, no. This is again necessary as both must exist for there to be all-powerful ANYTHING.
I am not religious. I'm serious about what I experienced, though I received no message or "authority" or mission (It would have made things easier and harder if I had).
I love science and logic (formal and symbolic) and study world religion for fun.
Keep asking questions like this.
Keep speaking up, everyone.

We exist because God created us. It was His desire to, and He has His own good reasons for doing so. Someone above said "to glorify and to serve God." That is true also.
We seek a God because we have a natural inclination to. This phenomenon is the result of how God programmed us when He created us. Like migrating birds, our hearts automatically home in on a heavenly destination we instinctively sense, because that is home.
God does not want or particularly need us to become equal to Him in His abilities or actions. God wishes us to attain a Jesus-like perfection, or something as close to it as possible. He does not actually wish us to become like Him in power, but to accept Him and to fulfill (or make our best effort to fulfill) the expectations He sets out in the Bible. That is all what He expects of us.

It isn't that simple for me but i shall attempt to be brief. In my experience:
1. We are here to learn lessons on the material plane.
2.We seek a God because we continually create chaos in our actions ( not always, but enough ) and need some better guidance to do more of the right thing.
3.In the end we become part of the whole that is God after many lifetimes and in different planes of existence; not all of them of physical composition.

1. A series of events occurred, which just so happened to make this planet the perfect atmosphere for life to develop and thrive.
2. The answer to number 1 means that we have no greater purpose. Instead of being content to discover our own purpose, it is much easier to find it through the doctrines and ideas of others. We're exposed to something, we think, "Hmm ... that sounds good to me" and we proceed by basing our lives around the thoughts and impressions of others. Also, we can not conceive of life before we were here, and we can not conceive that it will continue as normal after we die. Therefore, we hang on to the theory of an afterlife to comfort ourselves.
3. Instead of worrying about becoming the equal or the perfect worshipper of any god(ess), we should strive to make the most of everything we have -- our body, our mind, our sense of morality. We should want this for ourselves, and not worry about what a mythical creature wants for us.

1. I'm on the fence on this one. Don't know if we were put here or if we evolved from a lesser being. I am leaning towards evolution.
2. Because we need something to save us. Some reason to not kill everyone and everything. Some people are naturally kind, some are naturally cruel.
3. I think if there is a God he wants us to be good people. Not kill others, not hate others, and not wish bad onto others.

I believe we exist purely to exist. Just to live life and enjoy it as it comes, the good and the bad.
We seek divinity in the hopes of having a little for ourselves. We wish to be better than we are or better than those aroun us and finding the divine does that for us.
I believe there are gods and goddesses but that they really don't interfere in our lives anymore than we do the lives of ants etc. I think that some would wish that but most haven't even given it a thought unless some divine movie maker made a cool movie about it.

1. I like to think that we are here to experience the magnificency of creation. Experience to me is the key to it all. Experience the good and the bad, the pleasant and the painful, we are bits of God experiencing himself. In the world of the absolute there isn't a chance to experience anything. That's why the world of the physical was created.
Just try to get the most joy and love out of life as you can. Greetings from Mexico City.
