Since man was made in God's image, he did not develop from a lesser being to the being he is today. Is this related to the idea that all he must do is to accept Christ, and no other internal or spiritual development is required of him?

accepting Christ, also means feeding your soul and walking with God in faith.

The idea that all a man must do is accept Christ without any other internal or spiritual development is not in keeping with Scripture or the writings of Christian theologians. Quite the contrary. That simplistic 'decisional regeneration' doctrine was invented, and is maintained, by people who have very little knowledge of Christian history, theology or Scripture.

As for your question, man was made in the image of God, which implies only reason and freewill. He has the capacity to grow into the Likeness of God, which is moral perfection.

That idea was a failed attempt by (modern day) Christian leaders to attract more followers honestly...

Christ still admits that we will all be judged before God. Spiritual development must take place in some form, whether dramatic or not, whether last minute or not. Spiritual development should be understood as not only one's connection to God, but one's connection to other (wo)men, although I do not know what verse, I believe there is a verse that translates as "You can not claim to love Me, and [hate other men]*" Thus in some way saying that because God is also a part of all people, we must learn to love and forgive one another.

*I can not remember the EXACT quote in English, it might have been "and harbor ill's towards any man" or something along those lines. I am sorry, I was never one to remember specific verses by number or book.

although I could never truly comprehend God, I am just giving you my interpretation

Man's biological nature - his body - is not made in god's image, since God doesn't have a body. It is man's spiritual nature that is created in God's image and likeness, since God is pure spirit. Science tells us that man's biological body did develop over time from lesser beings. The Bible does not refute this. It simply says that God fashioned the body of man from inorganic matter (the dust of the earth). It doesn't describe the process by which God did this. Science does describe the process. However, once the biological man had been formed, by whatever process, God breathed into him spiritual life, an immortal soul, and moral capacity. At that moment the biological being God had already formed became human, in God's image and likeness.

The only correlation is see between the two is this: We didn't come into existence by chance and evolution, but were created by God. All we have to do to go to Heaven is to accept Christ as our Savior, not blaspheme, and fulfill our Christian obligations as set out in the Bible. If we try to live by the Bible, God will be happy.

I have to point out that Christians, aside from accepting Jesus as their Savior, are expected to make their best effort at attaining Christ-like perfection and fulfill the expectations set out in the Bible. Thus, spiritual development is very much required of us.

When a Christian truly accepts God and Christ in their life they go on learning the truth about them both and repent and turn away from their former bad course which mean they turn around, this means that the spiritual requirement is the ongoing learning of the deep things of God(John17:3)and of course knowledge is useless if it is not used, so one would need to put it into practise. That is the requirement.as you can see by the above scripture, that is cited there.

I would say No. We are required to develop internally and spiritually to maintain and grow in the Life of Christ. Salvation is a door but to continue in that salvation you must "walk the walk." There is a battleground in our Spirit man that must be conquered. Paul said "I die daily." Die to self will and self way so that Christ can live in me. There are "kingdoms" inside my heart that must "fall" at the feet of Jesus and satan does not want that to happen - so I must grow in my understanding, knowledge and "expertise" of spiritual warfare. Getting saved is easy - staying saved is a whole 'nother thing!

No, I don't think so.
Accepting Christ is fairly easy. But if that was all we were to do, then the Bible would have stopped with the gospel of John. However, more is required. "IF" one accepts Christ, then one will follow Christ. Jesus said -"why do you call me Lord, yet do not do what I say". The New Testament is loaded with things we should "do".

All believers are expected to grow up in Christ....but salvation
is absolutely confirms when on believes on and confesses the Son of God as Savior and Lord....and the Holy Spirit then
baptizes the new believer into the body of Christ, the Annoint-ed One....which is the TRUE Church.....and thus the righteous-
of Jesus (Y'shua) is imputed to that person forever.....

Hebrews 7;25 - John 10-29-30; John 3;16; John 1;12/////
Romans 10:9,10. - Titus 3:5. Eph.2;8,9.
Because of Adam, sin and death came into the world, and we
were all born spiritually dead....and if one dies in that same condition, he/she can never go to heaven....That is why God sent His Son....to die in our place, to pay for all our sins, and to redeem us from satan and give us new life forever....That is
what Jesus meant when He said in John 3, YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN......That, contrary to what some would tell you, is
NOT an "evangelical" or "religious" term, but it is what Jesus said and describes an absolute NECCESSITY as to whether someone goes to heaven or not when they leave this world.

I don't fully understand your question, but hope this helps, there is more to just accepting Christ, that's the first step, you must build and intimate relationship with the Lord, thru Jesus, by praying, fasting, reading the bible, going to church to be a hearer and doer of the word and walking in all that your hear when it lines up to the word of God, so that's why we read the bible to ensure that what we hear lines up with what the Lord says and in those ways we must conduct our lives.

No, once you accept Christ as savior, you are sent the holy spirit. You develop to be more Christ like through th holy spirit. It is natural once you are saved, that is why Jesus tells us in the bible, "by their fruit you shall know them".
