Looking to sell my 2005 Thompson Contender pistol. I purchased with the 45/410 barrel and also have a 223 barrel.
Have only used 3 times. What would be a fair price to ask for all. Everything is in excellent condition.

You can sell your barrels on ebay, current prices are around 160-190 for the 223, the 45/410 has been going for about 150-170 (these are for the barrel only), New barrel prices are 190-260 depending on where you live and who you get it from. I recently bought a contender frame for 310 with pistol grip and forearm stock. I would look to get 400-450 for a complete used gun in good condition. You can also check gunbroker.com for a price on the complete gun.

I have seen nice pieces like this all over the place price wise. Some say you own a white elephant....rare and nice but still just an e. Others crave the uniqueness and respect the quality and versatility of a Thompson. Kind of hit or miss (no pun intended). If you can find the right buyer you may be sitting on a high dollar fire arm.....if not...do not dump it right away due to a lack of interest or low offers.

You really need to do some research with some dealers and Thompson enthusiasts before taking advice from some one in this forum on a price. Sorry I don't have any dollar figure info for you, just good advice to keep from losing money.

There is a gun store in Winter Park, FL called "Shooters Den". Ask for Mark. He is a very knowledgeable guy and will be happy to point you in the right direction. I have personally known him for 12 years and purchased 6 guns from him.

I would list it on Gun broker separately.
List the 223 barrel with the frame on one auction and the 45/410 barrel on another auction.
Go their and check out the prices that they are selling for, they usually sell close to new price if in good condition.
To try and sell all pieces together may lower the total price, due to lack of interest from one barrel over the other.
That why I say to separate them.
Gun broker places your weapon in front of a lot of prospective buyers and their for usually get you a better price.
I don’t buy from there due to the fact I can get new for the same price in most occasions.
But I and my son sell our weapons their because of the high prices we get.
Hope this was of help.

I'm interested in the 223 barrel if it is blue and will fit the contender or G2. Also looking for a Super 14, meaning I want the barrel to be 14".

If you haven't tried www.graybeardoutdoors.com yet, click on the handgun forums and pull up the TC classified ads. You can sell them there with personal messages from users. I've just bought a couple of barrels listed there.
A fair price would be based on $525 for the complete gun with open sights and 250 a barrel(brand new prices).

Without scopes or accessories, $400-$450 would be a fair price.

If everthing is like new, and since the price of guns has gone up, I would ask for 10% more than you paid for it, then accept anything above 90% of the original price.
