I have red hair dye in my hair and I am going SCUBA Diving tomorrow in a protected spring. I just found out my hair isn't water proof, and it's too late to call off the dive. WHAT DO I DO? What happens is when I go in the water my hair just bleeds. It doesn't wash out. Ex: It turns the water red, but when I look in the mirror my hair is still red. It is meant to last 4 months. PLEASE HELP!!!

Its not that hair I am worried about, it's the protected spring that I am going to. I don't want to mess it up... Mucho Fineo

Ah..I had a friend who dyed her hair blonde...then she went to a pool. Next day, when she came to school, her hair, close to the roots, had turned green. I felt really sorry for her.
I'd say, ask the professionals...sorry I couldn't be of any help.

Either wash you hair about 50 times tonite or shave your head.
You could use a tight swim cap that will hopefully seal your head well enough to keep most of the dye out of the water.
If the dye in the water is not an issue, think of ways to have fun with the 'bleeding'.

There is only one thing that I can say and that is to bleach it . If you don't want to go blonde that's OK you can just use the bleach to get the red out so you can go diving . After you bleach the red out you can use a tint that makes your hair darker, you would have to pick the color that you want .This process would set the color and you can do it red again when your done diving . If your not sure how to color your hair have it done in a salon .

Put lots of conditioner in your hair and comb through this should work. Besides it replenishes the hair so it doen't dry out.
