First off, keep in mind that I have nothing at all against any other religion in the world. I think that everyone has the right to believe in whatever religion they want to, and it's totally their initiative. Being a Muslim myself, however, I have never met a single Muslim who's actively attempted to convert anyone to Islam. Also, another common misconception: Islam is a religion, not a culture, and "jihad" is defending oneself from an attack (of any kind).
There are, of course, some extremist and radical Muslims, whom I personally believe have abandoned any and all claims to being "good" Muslims. I feel that it's very unfair that the mistakes of a few should reflect on a population of over a million.
True, there are some verses in the Qur'an encouraging converting to Islam, but in no way do they order Muslims to actively seek out converts. Most converts have converted purely out of their own will, and I for one am very tired of seeing all these misconceptions.

It is unfortunate that the world lost so many peaceful and colourful religions of the past like Roman Greek Celtic,Wicca,Zorastrianism, To be replaced by the Satanic religions of Christianity and Islam.
Now in Western World there is peace and prosperity so they are not so much War indulgent and Fundamenalists.
Besides Science has debunked Bible one too many times with facts.
But in Muslim World many are poor and take their books seriously that is why they want to convert by force like their old ancestors did.Look at malaysia, Turkey etc where Muslims are rich they are not war minded cause prosperity reduces tention and conflict.
As Julius Caesar said-Give me Men about me who are fat and Sleek headed and that who sleep about at night
Men like Cassius are lean mean and hungry they think too much

Christians want to convert more people too. So does every other religion. Its so the religion doesn't stop and so that they don't have to live with the guilt of sending 2/3 of the worlds population to hell.

Actaully, according to an many historians, in early islamic period when muslims conquered Syria, Egypt, Iraq and Iran, they didn't encourage convertion to islam.

If they do it peacefully, I do not have any problem with that because they are just trying to "save" other people. But when they start to force people to convert, that is bad.
I follow Jesus, I believe in free will.

I'm a Muslim, and I don't do that.
It is written in the Qu'ran that there is no compulsion in religion. If you want to convert, fine, if you don't want to, fine. It's your choice and free will.
