No, it takes the same amount to digest most food as it would to digest gum. However i wouldnt suggest swallowing gum.

no, it goes through your digestive tract just like all other foods, the acids in your stomach wouldnt let much of anything just SIT for7 years... that is something parents made up to make sure their kids didnt swallow their gum, then eventually the kids started to believe it and now parents even today may believe it is true.

on average, it takes about 4 days but some peoples digestive systems are faster or slower and could take anywhere from one day to 10 or 12 days

thats what my uncle used to tell me but its truley a myth.
it does take longer to digest gum than regular food but definatlly NOT seven years.
