Wait for a different day. Getting engaged on the girls birthday is like saying well... I couldn't come up with something creative to get you so... here goes. Proposals should come straight out of left field. Not on a special occasion live birthdays, Christmas, or valentines. Girls have their radar way out then, so the reaction you get is not as good as it would be if you picked just a random day.

They should be two special days. Tomorrow is her birthday have fun celebrating but wait until a different day to set engagement. Each day needs it's own identity.

I highly recommend picking a different day. You basically steal the thunder from her birthday if you propose then. For the rest of her life the birthday will be the engagement day, too, instead of her getting to have TWO special days. Maybe the next day or the next weekend you can do it, and say you have another special belated birthday present...

No, I don't think that it is a good idea, wait a little bit longer, that way her birthday will be a special event and so will your engagement.

I got married the day before my birthday. So we didn't have to celebrate on my birthday. But I could always remember our anniversary

That would be a really sweet gesture. You could wrap it up like a present and when she opens it, you could get down on one knee without saying a word. That's what I would do, anyway.
If you decide to go for it, I'd say wait until you're alone with her. It's sweet to do with with all her friends around, but think about how you'll feel if she says no and everyone sees...

I think that her birthday definitely has potential to be quite romantic.
If her birthday is tomorrow, and you haven't planned it out, I might recommend doing it later, just so that you don't seem or feel rushed.
If that is not the case, then go for it :]

i think you should wait for a different day. a girl wants her ebgagement day to be special and one of a kind. so give her a new memory and do it a different day. make her so surprised so that she wont be expecting it. pick any other random day with no meaning and start one of your own.
