You are obviously not a car enthusiast and only want a car as a mode of transportation (what a waste! that's not what they're for) or a status symbol so I have no recommendations for you. If you can't figure out on your own what you like, well then.... *sigh*

And for the first poster: hey, those are good recommendations for people who are into cars (who of course wouldn't need recommendations in the first place)... don't go around telling people about them or else everyone will start driving them! Nooooooo!

Used Honda Civic........lower insurance......good gas mileage (the price of gas is not going to go down)...handle well, excellent resale value and when u get a little extra money, you can modify it. I would do what you can to keep the insurance companies and government out of your wallet. When your 25 your insurance lowers substantially and then if your into high performance....go for it. By then the cars will be so advanced. If you want to see an awesome video of the coolest car.....check out www.dailymotion.com and search for top speed of Bugatti Veyron.

Your question really shouldn't have been posted in the Lexus section if you don't want one.
