i should probly know this cuz i am taking them, but i'm not exactly sure what they do. do they help healing or derease swelling or pain or all of those or waht??

i don't think i have a bacterial infection but i just had surgery so are they used to prevent bacterial infections before they start too?

They reduce the inflammation of an infected area, supplies antibodies, to fight off a certain type of infection, different antibiotics are used to treat different things, also by reducing the infection, the pain decreases, and the swelling goes down. Hopes this helps.
