GODISNOWHERE
Two possible ways to read this. God is nowhere or God is now here. Since the origional text was written in a language which didn't have punctuation or spacing, then the majority of the biblical meaning is left to interpretation. Since the bible has been rewritten three times historically (Once by Ezra the Scribe who compiled the first old testament from the oral histories, Once by the Catholic Church when they cannonized [well, determined what would be considered valid] in the first Old and New Testament, and Once by King James when he altered the Roman Catholic Bible to conform to the King Henry VIII's Church of England) it is difficult at best to take the modern text to be factually accurate.
In the end, what difference does it make. I believe what I have decided to believe. And my internal happiness is not dependent on what anyone else believes. For that matter, it doesn't effect me what anyone thinks of me for my beliefs. Religion is a belief based on faith, not based on evidence. You cannot win the argument for or against, you can only decide what is right for yourself.
Historically, a suicidal person was considered unclean. As such, noone could touch the body of a suicide. As such, the hanged body of Judas would be left to hang until the rope broke and his body then fell to the earth, causing his guts to burst forth.

Dear friend,
It is true that there are lots of contradictions in the bible. But they are contradictions only for those who try to interpret it with materialistic and scientific and human ways. The bible was written just convince the people two things:
1. God is the supreme being
2. Man should give first priority to Him alone
So what does it Matter if Judas died naturally or By hanging or by any accident.???
Faith is the Main hero in bible. No scientific study can prove faith. it is beyond human speculations.

Since Matthew was an apostle, he wouldve had firsthand knowledge that Judas hung himself. He says as much in his Gospel. The writer of the book of Acts is Luke and he was neither an apostle or an eyewitness to Jesus, but he did interview many witnesses. It is most likely simply the case that the eyewitness that told him bout Judas dying had seen the aftermath of his body all messed up without intestines and reconstructed what they thought happened based on what they observed. How many of us have been witnessed someone hanging and committing suicide?
An apparent contradiction is different form a real contradiction. If I asked where you went yesterday afternoon and someone told me that you went to the post office and another told me you went to the library, is that a contradiction? No, there are a lot of possible explanations. The problem is unbelievers like you hold the Bible up to standards that you wouldnt apply to anything else in order to discredit it to try to discredit us. and the only person you discredit is yourself by being dismissive of something youve probably never read or understood to begin with.
The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. -2 Corinthians 4:4

Matthew 27:3-8 describes his actual death Acts 1:16-19 is a parable. And may I remind you that the usual method of hanging was to drop someone a good length with the rope tied around their neck so the neck would break and they would die instantly, the only other alternitive is to choke to death which could take many minutes. Judas wanted to end his life ASAP that's why he hung himself. And I think you can guess that to choke for a couple of minutes till you die is not the quickest way to kill oneself.

The people who wrote the Bible are Human....and there is no human on the face of the earth that is perfect - that goes all the way back to Adam. Since nobody is perfect, then people can contradict themselves now can't they. There are certain instances in the Bible that in my opinion, not even the greatest of scholars understand, nor will they ever because they were not there to witness the events. So when it comes to the Bible, you should understand that because of its human background, and because of language translations (from the greek) that it is possible to see two different things stated - but ultimately the final answer was the same and that was Judas died.

You are very misinformed.
Mathew 27:3:8 states that Judas
that Judas hung himself
('..Then he went away and hanged himself")
Acts 1:16:19 describes it in detail
'and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out. "
This is something that happens in a hanging (bowels gushing out) I not something that would happen if you fell to the ground. Not sure what you see but to me it is clear. Also, there is no mention of Judas falling down ( assuming down is the ground)

And the resolution of a contridiction through REASON leads to real insight no? That is how theology was born: through reasoning of contradictions!
How many contradictions do you find in Science? But still you know the basics - we are made up of cells!
Each cell has a role to fulfill in order to serve a cause greater than itself, that is to make up a person. And that person can be part of a higher order of creation - humanity. And humaity is also united to a cause greater than itself! But unlike cells humanity has the capacity to understand that greater cause. And reason to understand that cause more profoundly. And he can be one with this cause if he chooses.
Now how could a cell disprove that the human body does not exist? If a cell goes "eevil" and looses touch with the body, it divides relentlessly and "selfishly" takes over the body, we know we have a tumor. We have to treat.
The same way with humanity. But we call our medicine "mercy", administered through the "eucharist" in order to ease humanity's pain.
This is the best answer I can give.

bible or any other holy book is not written by any individual, people over a period of time have inserted their own versions, whatever they felt like, only in the recent few centuries it could not be done. so obviously there could be controversies. but it seems to be a fact that there had been people like jesus and his allies and the so called bad eliments , like we do have some famous and notorious ones in the present times. since we have all kinds of recording facilities like photos/videos/medias etc the facts can't be blown up but earlier days there had been a lot of communication gaps...........why go to judas.....tell me how did hitler die.......had theren't been a close media coverage you might have had a different versions for even saddam's death. so let's leave the genuinity of the holy books to the individual's believes, let's not criticise othor's faith...bye

You have one very weak argument. Why are you so determined to prove it wrong, is it because you know you can't. If you want to argue the validity of the Word go to www.contenderministries.org, and see how prophecy has and still is being proved from the Bible. If that does not prove it's validity then nothing will, and I feel sorry for anyone who does not grasp it now. God lets us live by grace now, but He won't be mocked, and He is rightous and those that aren't redeemed will have to answer for their sins. This doesn't mean being perfect, it means admitting that you aren't and that you need Him. God exists, He doesn't need you to say that He does for that to be true.

Matthew was relating the events as they occurred. Peter, in Acts is referring to a prophesy in the Old Testament. By committing suicide Judas denied himself proper burial. Instead of being put in a tomb he was buried without ceremony which left his body to go through the normal stages of decomposition. Therefore he bought the field of treachery and his body fell into the ground to burst open and rot.
