Its painless.

You'll just feel a little weird because all of a sudden, there isn't metal in your mouth anymore. After a few days, it'll feel normal AND you get to show off that new smile!

Make sure you use the retainer every night or however long the orthodontist tells you. Time and time again, i hear people say they wished they had listen to the ortho and kept using their retainer because if you don't, your teeth will shift. The time and money that you had invested for the straight teeth will be gone and that perfect smile will be lost.

Now go ahead, show the world your awesome grill!

OK when you take yer braces of yer keks will fall down around yer ankles but it is quite painless, unless you let one strap be pulled to far and it hits you in the nose ,and as long as you change yer undies every day there will not be any yellow stains as these are caused by droplets from not giving it a shake when finished in the lavy or not using a tissue, and tissue as in paper not your nose after hitting it with yer braces,so next time why don't you buy a kilt. wont stop the yellow stains contrary to beliefs the Scots do wear undies,
but you want have to wear any braces again,I hope this is of help to you in year anxiety over yer braces,

Never fear- it atkes just afew seconds to "pop" them off. You'll be amzed they didn't come off while your eating. If you had one come loose- you know it didn't hurt.
As for stains- I sure hope not, but that all depends on well you cared for your teeth. You can get some whitening gel for the clear reatiners- nice bonus! The reatiners are two kinds- one is clear. the other is called a holly reatiner it is pink or they make some really wild designs. Again- reatainers need to worn as instructed. If you have to take them out of your mouth to eat- DO NOt WRAP them in a paper napkin! They will get thrown away. If you have cargo pants, wear them and put your retainer in your buttoned pant pocket. Put a sign above the washer please check for my retainer! Also
DoGs and cats love these things! If you leave it out on your night stand or on the table they will grab it and destroy it.
Best polace to put it- IN your Mouth! next- go into the bathroom - brush it brush your teeth you can use mouth wash on it if it gets a funky flavor but don't put the clear ones in colored mouth wash over night they will turn color. You can soak it in everdent or polident to clean it. GET a set place to put it- ie- in the case in the bathroom drawer while you eat.
At first you may wake up in the morning and it is gone- don't worry look in your bedding ! Can't chew gum in them it sticks! for every hour you leave it out- you loose eight hours worth of wearing them

It doesn't hurt at all, but your teeth will feel very strange (slimy) for the first couple of days. As long as you kept up with brushing and flossing, theren't shouldn't be any discoloration. Be sure to wear your retainer or your teeth WILL move back. You should ask about a permanent retainer on the bottom. You won't be able to see it and that way you won't have to deal with forgeting about it every night.

ive gotten my braces put on and taken off twice.

it dosent hurt at all and when they take it off your teeth look whiter than you think (well, mine did) also it feels really werid like kind of soft, smooth, and werid feeling your teeth since you havent been able to feel the parts that were covered by braces. They give you a retainer to make sure youre teeth wont move back to the way they were b4

its all gooooood

When your braces are removed the dentist cleans your teeth so all of the glue comes off. It didn't hurt me at all. The dentist then suggests that you wear a retainer in bed so your teeth won't shift.

i just got my braces off last month and it didn't hurt at all. they polish ur teeth but they don't whiten them, at least mine didn't. they fit u for ur retainers and u make an appointment to get them fitted to see if they made them right. depending on ur orthodontist, they either give u invisilign or nothing. when u get ur retainer, u have to put them on all day unless eating and brushing ur teeth. as the years go by, u will have to wear them less and less until just in the night. but u will have to wear them the rest of ur life. i hope i was a great help to u and congrats on the braces. try not to over do it on the junk food alright?

Getting them off doesn't hurt... they literally just pop them right off your teeth. They will take off most of the leftover glue on your teeth, some of it will remain... I had braces on for 4 years and I still have some glue left that will probably never come off, but it's no biggie. My teeth were yellowed, but I used crest whitestrips and they look good now. Good luck!

when they take your braces off, its the best feeling in the world. seriously. also, as long as you brushed your teeth well while they were on, then you dont need to worry about stains. i dont know if they will clean them.

trust me, after what you went through with the braces on, taking them off is a RELIEF! there may be some stains, but the dentist will wear those away with a special buffing tool. congrats on finally getting them off!
