I doubt that anyone really understands this, because we exist in time, how can we imagine how anything would function without time, not just intelligence. It's just like we cannot truly wrap our minds around infinity. Sorry, but I doubt anyone really could explain this.
BTW, (sailcat64) time is definitely not a human invention. Saying that is like saying, humans invented gravity. Just because other creatures don't perceive it (as far as we assume) does not mean that it is only in our heads.

Everything we do requires time, because we live a linear existence. However, logic dictates that if time and space, matter and energy exist, they must have come into existence. Logic therefore further dictates that their coming into existence must have had a cause. Therefore, logically, that cause must have pre-existed time and space, matter and energy, for every cause must precede its effect. Therefore the cause of the existence of the universe must exist outside of time and space. And an existence outside of time and space, which is to say "in eternity", logically must be non-linear. Obviously we cannot "understand" the intelligence of God, for the finite cannot contain the infinite. But we can logically arrive at certain necessary statements that can be made about the intelligence of God.

As speed increases, time slows down. If you could reach infinite velocity and occupy every point in space at once, time would cease to exist. You would be out of time. This is a scientific theory, but quite an interesting one. If it is possible in science to have a theory that suggests something out of time, then why not a Creator out of time?
Thoughts would not have to succeed eachother because absolute knowledge would be there. You could see the past present and future all at the same time - in one instant.

Good question. In answering I must ask you two questions. What is time in your opinion or view and what is its purpose? When, where, and how did time come into existence if in fact it does have a beginning?
This I copied from thereference dictionary; Time as a noun:
A nonspatial continuum in which events occur in apparently irreversible succession from the past through the present to the future. An interval separating two points on this continuum; a duration: . A number, as of years, days, or minutes, representing such an interval:
In my view time is only a unit of measure of any value when an event or sequence is scheduled that will put in place a change of some sort. Thus from that view, you may say the change is of cource the gaining of knowledge if that is how you see the word "intelligence" that you used.
In the same Yahoo Refernce dictionary intelegence is defined as:
The capacity to acquire and apply knowledge. The faculty of thought and reason. Superior powers of mind.
I do agree that mankind does require thought and reasoning to be in place in this sequence, age, or era to form conclusions and opinions. This normally comes in sequences which are measured in time. However suppose one does know all and can not learn or is given the gift of intelligence with out the required sequences of Idea, thought, reasoning, etc. If that be the case then time is of no value for time and sequence will not come into play.
In this respect is not instinct behavior in a new born child not a good example. At birth the child knows how to suck milk, breathe, and to announce the displeasure of not being in the security of the womb by expressing its dissatisfaction with the crying. The baby was born with this "intelligence" or knowledge, Thus one can say in this respect that such is the results of a state of being in existence.
You may not accept this, but in my view there does exist entities who are in a state of bweing in existence that have no time element because their state of being can not and will not change. With no change in any sequence, time is valueless to them and thus non existent.
In my view time came into existence when a gentleman, Mr> Adam did face a pending change in his state of being in existence which mankind calls death. Prior to that time there was no time because no change or sequence was pending. In my view with the opinion I am sourced in the Mr. Adam family, I thus also must face this pending change called death and thus time is a way to mark the sequences until it is manifested. Once this is accomplished, time will again be of no value and I will revert to a timeless state in existence in a new era, fixed in a state of being.
I did say such is my opinion and of course you are free to have your own.I do respect that.
In my opinion time and intelligence are to different distinct elements and are only related when one does see the sequence of idea, thiught, reasoning, etc. One can exist with out this sequence if this one does possess all knowledge or if one has an eternal endless sequence in which to do these sequences and time is valueless. Such a state of being in existence would be in an eternal sequence with eternal life.
Do give it some thought and do smile OK

Maybe. Have you ever been so into the moment that you totally lost all track of time? Were you concerned with anything other than that moment of being in flow?
Were you less intelligent because of your lack of concern? Imagine an eternity of being in the flow of the moment. You can't
because it only feels like right now.
Time flies when you're having fun.

Interesting. That makes my "Adam & Eve" story that much better!!!
God is the Alpha & Omega. He is the begging & end. Appling this to time. He is the begging of time and end of time and all inbetween (smallest of small to largest of large). He doesn't really have a time because time is part of Him.
However, Adam & Eve (created in the image of God) cannot be the Alpha & Omega. So when they were in the Garden of Eden, they were in a blissful state of euphoria. When they left the garden, time became a factor pushing them to search for knowledge and wisdom. Wow!!! You may not be getting my brian, but whoa ... Hallilulia - hallilulia - hallaaa luuu yaaaa.

Perhaps time does exist in Gods realm, it just moves a ton faster. For instance there was a TIME when Satan was in Heaven and NOW he is not. It must be that god is outside OUR timeline and in his own. And he would have the ability to go between "time zones."

Well time is a wierd thing. Think about it, if no one on earth cared about time would it be real? This makes me think is time real or is it a thing all humans make up in thier own minds. Now we know that trees for instance must be real even if no one cares about them because we see it. With this in mind i think intellengnce would exist without time.

Time is a result of intelligence. No other animal has a concept of time, only day and night, but nothing in between. Time is a completely man-made idea.

The same thing could be said about taking a dump. Without time you couldn't eat the food, you couldn't digest the food, and you definitely couldn't crap it out into the form of a question such as this.
