i cant believe people honestly are mormon. Sorry, but you have to be pretty gullible to believe that nonsense. Its ok though, as long as those people stay in Utah, and away from the rest of us normal people. Im an atheist, so all religion is kind of bogus to me, but mormons are beyond explaination. I dont get how anyone could go along with some of rules they want you to believe. Whatever though, if you are going to fall for it, so be it. Im just saying, if I were going to choose a religion, becoming a mormon would be right up there with voodoo, islam, and wiica. That guy joeseph smith is nothing but a crook, and a con-artist.

You are certainly entitled to your opinion, but it is disrespectful and rude to criticize others for their religious beliefs, especially since religion is faith based and personal.

There are many intelligent Mormons and many people who have looked at the Mormon faith objectively and logical and determined it made sense or was true. I suppose you believe the CEOs of Dell, JetBlue, Deloitte & Touche, CFO of American Express, and the former Dean of Harvard Business School are all gullible and not normal? If only you could know all the intelligent people who believe the Mormon faith. But, in the end, that doesn't matter, because as I said it is personal. I respect people of other faiths, or those who choose not to have a faith (my wife is agnostic), as we all should. There is no point taking personal shots at anyone.

Sounds like most religions to me. I wouldn't be too quick singling out the Mormons, their belief is no less valid than most Christians.

Christians like to bash them for following a book that is extra biblical. They have done the same thing with the New Testament though. I am sure Jews will have the same argument for Christians.

If you are an Atheist, why choose the Mormons to pick on. Its all equally odd.....

While you posted this you had not mentioned why or how they did you wrong.

I'm not defending them but what did happen that was so negative?

I do aggree with you though. A lot of it is a bunch of c rap.

I mean you've got screwed up bibles(which one is real from the 20,000 different translations??) and Q'uran and then you add another book . I call it the book of Morons. lol

But what about other religions i mean the jehovahs witnesses, unification church and christian sciences are all messed up too. And so are all these denominations of christians. Then you have all these different sections of islam ...regular islam vs nation of islam(aka farrakan etc) vs all these different sections of sihks and others. Theyre all fighting against eachother.

Whats wrong with wicca, paganism , voodoo and witchcraft?

I mean they all have their bad and their good.

The "rules" we have to follow/believe? Oh, yeah I guess being morally clean, having strong family values, going to church on Sunday, not drinking, not smoking, not doing drugs...yeah those all seem like crazy things... (rolls eyes)
Don't be sorry, everyone is entitled to their beliefs, even us.
I know Joseph Smith was and is a true prophet. I know with all my heart, might and mind that he saw and spoke with God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. I know he was instructed on restoring the fulness of the gospel to the earth. That is a knowledge I have gained for myself. I challenge any person to read the Book of Mormon, ask your Heavenly Father if it is true, if you are sincere, you will receive an answer.

You know, we could say the same thing about you and the other atheists, and that your beliefs are "bogus." But I'm not. But I will tell you this: Everyone is entitled to their own conviction and beliefs. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- Day Saints because I WANT to be, not because I "fell" for anything, and follow the commandments of God because I WANT to. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God, and no one or anything can convince me otherwise.

obviously whoever you have tlked to or what ever sight you have gone to has not told you the truth. we are not forced to believe in anything, we are not forced to live a ceratin way, or follow a certain way, its all about making the right decison for yourself. you wan to be atheist then so be it but be careful about slamming others relgion unless you have honestly dug into and not into some anti-mormon sight they dont ever tell the truth

There is nothing to be sorry for. The evidence is on your side. When someone tells a tall tale in the Rochester NY area, the reply is "That's as good a one as young Joe told" referring to Joseph Smith Jr. the founder of the Mormon church.
Did you know that Baha'is recently declared that Mormonism is not Christian? They who would bring all to them say that somehting is not a part of their beliefs is a BIG step!

I was born in the state of Utah, and lived there till I was 12 years old. I'm in total agreement with you. My fathers family are mormons and we went to church a few times with them. Though, I do believe in God, I do not think mormons know what they are talking about.
