I am on a Jewish website geared for couples that want to get married (as opposed to date forever). One gentleman wrote me last year, and I replied to him. Due to years of internet experience, I determined he was not serious and did not write back.

A year later (January 2008) he wrote me again, and said he liked my profile. I am giving him a chance. I was a bit concerned how he gravitated more towards email rather than calling, but he finally confessed that he lost his job. It is hard for him to call me from New York City due to his phone plan, and can only call from the suburbs when he is at his parents. I live in the midwest. Anyways, I understand the stress he is under, and I write to him everyday. He calls about once a week. He says in the 3 years he has been online, I have the best profile. I periodically reactivate my account and notice that he is still logging in regularly.

Is this guy truly interested, or just wasting my time? Why is he still shopping online?

First of all, just because the guy is Jewish does not mean this belongs in the Religion and Spirituality section.

Two, it sounds like you guys don't talk too much. Just because the guy calls once a week does not mean that you're the one he's picking--he's probably interested, but he does only get to call once and week and you guys do live a large distance away. He probably thinks a relationship is not possible. Best thing to do would be to lay it out and ask him--you both will appreciate the honesty.

Peace

You mention the telephone. When my wife and I wre dating I had the same problem. (She actually had a free long distance plan.) Here is how we solved it. She gave me her schedule. She was generally available evenings 9-11.

If I wanted to talk to her, I would phone her and let it ring once. then she would call me.

We still use that code. I work in many peoples houses. (I am a home handyman.) I never answer the phone. if she wants me she uses the code. It still works great

seems okay to me. it particularly is no longer often complete, yet covers the fundamentals. I went to the meals reward because of the fact those are those i be attentive to maximum suitable, and that they have been precise. in spite of the certainty that a number of the transliterations weren't one hundred% spot, a minimum of no longer for the pronunciations i replaced into raised with. a number of the "h"s could be extra perfect sounded as "kh"s, a valid some distance lower back interior the throat and not an "aitch" or a "chah".
