i havent smoked in a while but i kind of want to, but i am getting a blood test next week. now im not getting drug tested, all they are doing is checking my liver (i am on accutane and i take a monthly blood test) so im wondering if weed will show up as a red flag even if that isnt what they are looking for.

It will show up if you have taken it lately, but so what? Doctors are not allowed to discuss your medical cases with anyone! Marijuana wont hurt you so if I were you (and I am a legal marijuana user) do not worry yourself about it :0)

I don't think that it will show up as marijuana, but it may make some of your other levels either low or high, that may cause concern as to another illness and the doc may want to do some more tests and eventually it may come out anyway. I don't think that the doc can report you to the police or anything, however if you are under 18 he may be able to inform your folks, if it even gets to that point(if they find anything) , so basically if you are worried about it showing up and getting into trouble, then maybe you should not smoke it. And if you get it tested monthly then it is pretty much never an option, try to look for an alternative outlet.

The only way they would know is if your doctor ordered a test to check for THC in pot and they don't do that for a liver test. Your secret is safe.

in a drug test, everything they look for is a separate test.
If they are doing a specific test to check your liver, they aren't going to be running a test for THC (marijuana) so you're safe.

They have to be specifically looking for that. The lab may see it, but if that is not what the doctor ordered, they will not include that with the results...
