Self indulgence on egocentric foolishness, God doesn't want our praise God wants us to live our lives with dignity honor purpose and keeping true to our purpose of being. This is about us not God, we are the ones with needs not God.

God isn't a poser... and modest? Where did that come from.
I give Him praise because He is the Creator of the universe, He is holy, and He is God.
That seems pretty praiseworthy to me.

To me, it's all a mind game. You think that God is the only way to salvation, to put a meaning to your life and all that jazz. The church in general, no matter the denomination, proclaims that humans are worthless pieces of crap that only God can make you worth something to someone. It's all a mind game to keep the population in check. You think that "Jesus saved you" from a "sinful" life and thus give "Him" thanks and praise by continuing to go to church and also by giving the church money to brainwash the next idiot in line. It's all a scam. People need to think for theirselves and hold themselves responsible for what they do and don't need to answer to a "God(s)". If God created us, he would have made sure we were built to worship him forever. The bible wouldn't contradict itself. In the ot, you got a god who will blow everyone away who crosses him. In the nt, you got a god who's loving merciful and caring. God doesn't deserve anything cause either he doesn't exist or he needs to explain himself.

Because he is so modest that he only demands our constant praise. In fact that is why he created everything. So that humans would exist to praise him. If you praise God very well, you get to die and go to heaven where he can demand that you praise him constantly for ever and ever. But if you don't praise him even for a moment you get to have your skin burned off of your sorry carcase in hell forever and ever and ever, amen!

Because he wants to commune with us. God inhabits the praises of his people.

OK You give me one basic answer. How are the two related?

We give Him praise because He is worthy of it and we are His people made for that very purpose.

Because He willingly paid His own blood sacrifice for our sins so that we don't have to be at enmity with God anymore, but that now we can boldly come close to Him, be partakers of His Kingdom, grafted into His Family, and joint heirs with Jesus. As this sacrifice was the only sacrifice that could do this for us, we praise Jesus for His worthiness as this was a choice that He made for us. He did not have to die for us, but He chose to lay down His Life for us. PEACE!!!

One reason is that when you love someone, you praise them, lift them up with compliments, help them with their chores, do your best to compliment them. You do all of these things for your loved ones, so why can't we do this for God? He created us to have a relationship with. And this one way that we show Him our appreciation.
