Do you think that if everyone in the middle east would suddenly turn atheist, that you would still have people that would intentionally kill themselves and unarmed civilians?

Do you think that women would still not be allowed to drive and that homosexuals would be executed in some countries?

The problem with atheism: 20 million dead under Stalin. Several million dead under Pol Pot. Tens of millions dead at the hand of the atheist or neopagan Nazis. All of these killed unarmed civilians, too. The Japanese intentionally killed themselves in the service of patriotic duty in WWII.

Religion isn't the problem. People will kill each other for whatever cause.

No, they wouldn't. But that does not mean that there is a problem with religion. There is a problem with Islam. (Yes, Islam is not a religion of peace. I can prove that. Just contact me and I'll convince you.) The reason women can't drive is becauseof Islam which, while a religion, does not reflect the views of all religions... While Islamic men (true Islamists) would enslave women, Christian men (true Christians) adhered to the code of chivalry which instructed men to treat women with utmost respect and courtusey. (I have a list of some of the tenants of chivalry if you would like to see it.)
Thus you see that the problem is not "religion" on a whole but the few radical religions.

1) What the hell do killing one's self have to do with religion.

2) Women are allowed to drive in almost all of the middle east accept for suadi arabia and only because the women cover there face, if a woman gets into a car accedent who will know who she is she can do a hit an run without getting cought.

Homosexuals should be exiled from society because they are the cause of the distruction of society for example the romans and the greeks.

Why focus in the Middle East? Wouldn't it be wonderful if no one started tried to force their children to be a certain religion and if people stopped arguing with me about how the earth was created in 7 days?

The problem with religion is that it was invented in a rather primitive period in humanity's history.

The morals and parables/stories in there are simply too outdated and not being based on any scientifical basis, to be taken seriously anymore.

Stories found in the bible could be accepted as truth back then. They simply cannot be taken as a fact, rather than fiction, in this day and age.

There is an ancient evil in the Middle East, no doubt about that. Religion is good. I would say that for the most part, it is good for society. Like medicine sometimes tastes bad but is good for you...I wish some people weren't so extreme, but sometimes, people who don't care at all make society a mess too.

people would fight over something else.
i see what you are saying, but reality is that people use religion as an excuse to let out their frustrations, causing wars etc. They really have other problems like poverty and disenfranchisement which they disguise in the name of religion.

Yep

People are people

There's a lot of men in the WEST that wish things were like they were in 1800.

ha ha you think those people died for their beliefs? They don't even remember who their God is. They had honey on their lips, but poison in their hearts. They wanted oil and land. Did Hitler tell you he wanted to liberate the entire world, or he told you he wanted the entire world ?
