Personally i prefer a gin and tonic with a lime wedge. However, anything thing sweet can compliment the gin as it tends to dull the bitterness. Fruit juices are great especially citrus and cranberry.

If you're talking good gin.......I'd suggest a martini. Tangueray or Bombay dry or wet, to your taste, with large green olives. I prefer them on ice since the first few sips do the taste buds in (more or less). The ice melts to make the drink last a tad bit longer. And, at 95%, it only takes a couple to get the job done. Wow, I'm gettin' thirsty. It is an aquired taste!!!!

An old British standby would be an ounce of Gin, and ounce of Pimm's Bitters, ice, and fill the glass with 7-Up or Sprite. Very smooth, and easy to drink, not to mention quite tasty.
Brits may not be known for their cooking, but they do have their drinking down to an art.

Orange juice is a classic (Gin & Juice) but tends to be a little bitter. A sweeter choice would be pineapple juice same concept but a better taste in my opinion.
