I am a single mom and like living a peaceful and fun life. I live a fun life, but relaxed and not overly social. I like class and style, but am more of a small town, country girl.

BUT when an guy asks me out that is always out with friends and at bars and hanging out, (dressed all classy and has frosted hair and hangs with 'beautiful people')

... I just feel REALLY uncomfortable and won't go out with them. In my experience the 'party' type people are usually critical and think they are better then others, even as adults... is this a normal reaction of mine?

I understand where you're coming from. I'm similar.

I shy away from high maintenance girls that are superficial and shallow. I have money, but I drive a truck which acts as repellent for these women.

It's normal. There are certain people that I would want to spend time with either. It's because they are too egotistical, rude or just plain stupid. It's normalto want to date someone who share the same social climate as you. It's actually better because you'll be more comfortable to do anything and talk about anything. If you date a "stuck up" like the ones you mentioned, you'll always second guess your actions and you'll compromise who you are just to be on their good side. Sounds like high school again doesn't it? I had a pleasant a high school experience, but I was pretty fake sometimes, so I don't want to go back there. Good luck

I think this reaction is your intuition telling you to be careful, and that's normal. You obviously feel a bit guarded around these types of guys, and that's ok to be, if you are ok with that. I think you have to figure out what is it that makes you feel uncomfortable. It seems to me that you are being a bit critical as well, he may be nice person (or not) but you won't really ever know unless you get to know him, or keep looking around for someone that you click with very easily.

If you are uncomfortable around a certain type of person, you should listen to that instinct. I've never been hit on by this kind of guy because I don't fit the criteria of a beautiful person, but if I did, I'd turn him down. It's judgmental of me, but I know what kind of guy I belong with.

That kind of guy is a nerd, by the way, and over the last eight years, all I've dated is nerds. I've been dating a nerd for the last 4 years, and we plan on getting married. And he's very proud of being a nerd.

Maybe you just need to find what kind of guy you like. You don't have to limit it to a certain label, but you know this is not the kind of guy for you. :)

Hell yeah it is normal! I am a single mom and party guys usually smell of TROUBLE! You have your children to think about. When you are affected they are affected!

I think so.

If you're not a party animal, why would you date a party guy?

Don't worry about those guys. Just focus on finding a guy who makes you happy, regardless of what "type" of guy he is!

I assure you that she had cheated on you with him. identity say drop her and seem for yet another lady. She does not think of of how her movements will result you. Shes not properly worth it.
